Kamp Motor Speedway Banquet November 7th, 2009

The 2009 Kamp Motor Speedway Banquet will be held at the Moose Lodge at
3601 Union Street in Lafayette, Indiana on November 7th, 2009.
The doors will open at 5:00 P.M. EDT.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids under 12 and may be purchased at
K-Motion Racing in Lafayette, Indiana or by calling 765-742-8494 or 765-532-1621.

Kamp Closed‏

I am sorry to announce that we will not be racing the last race of the 
season. I was in hopes of a good night this past Saturday so we could 
continue but that did not happen. More money is going out than coming in 
and we can not continue. The lack of fans at KMS has been an ongoing 
battle for the last couple years with this year being the worst. Now 
before everyone points out what we have done wrong let me tell you we 
have given our all to the speedway. I believe the economy has caused low 
car and spectator counts this season.
 
We are planning a banquet/hogroast and possible swap meet at the track 
sometime in October. I haven’t gotten those details arranged yet. I will 
post something when I do.

Kamp Racing 9-12-09 But No Late Models

The World 100 is this weekend and we have made a choice not to race Late
Models. We will be having all the rest of our classes including the
Mechanics Race on Saturday September 12th.

We have also found it necessary (in hopes to recover some) to cancel the
Kamp 50 on Saturday September 19th. We will be running Late Models that
night but it will be a regular show.

Kamp Racing a full program 9-05-09 plus Pure Stocks & PP

Kamp Motor Speedway will be racing a full program of UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and the Powder Puff on Saturday September 5th.
Pit gate opens at 3:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hotlaps are at 6:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:00. All times are approximate and EDT.
Grandstands are $12, kids 11-15 $6 and kids 10 and under are free with a paying adult.

Kamp Running UMP Summer Nationals 6-13-09

Kamp Motor Speedway will be hosting the UMP Late Model summer Nationals on Saturday June 13th with a Late Model feature win payout of $10,000. We will also be having a $1000 to win UMP Modified race plus the UMP Street Stocks will be in the house.

Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hotlaps at 6:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:00 (all times are approximate and EDT).

Grandstands are $20, kids 11-15 is $10 and kids 10 and under are free with a paying adult.
Pits are $35, kids 10 and under are $15 and kids 3 and under are free.

Camping is allowed in the grassy area by the parking lot and by the creek area. There is no charge for camping and all camping is primitive. Please take your trash with you or put in receptacles on the outside of the gates.

We will allow fans to put blankets down until 4:00. We will then clear the grandstand until time to open.

No coolers or outside food or drink is allowed.

Kamp Motor Speedway will be racing a full program of UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman and UMP Street Stocks plus the US Modified Lites on Saturday May 16. Pit gate opens at 3:00, Grandstands open at 5:00, Hotlaps are at 6:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:00. All times are EDT
Grandstands are $12, kids 11-15 is $6 and kids 10 and under are free with a paying adult. It is also Armed Forces Night and any soldier in uniform or with an active military I.D. will be admitted into the grandstands free of charge.

Kamp Motor Speedway will be racing a full program of UMP Late Models, UMP Sportsman and UMP Street Stocks plus the Ike Bowman Modified Memorial race for $1000 to win for the Modifieds May 2. We will also have the rained out Sportsman and Street Stock features from 4-18-09.
Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hotlaps at 6:00 qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:00. All times are approximate and on EDT.

Monster Midwest Series Kicks Off with Tripleheader April 24-26

The Monster Midwest Series kicks off their 2009 season with a tripleheader. On Friday, April 24th the series will be at the Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, IL) for a $5,000 to win event. The series then moves on to the Kamp Motor Speedway (Boswell, IN) on Saturday, April 25th, and concludes the weekend at the Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, IL) on Sunday, April 26th. Saturday and Sunday's races will pay $2,000 to win. The series has 26 events currently scheduled with a few more to be added.

The series website has been updated with the year-end points fund payout (plus sponsor product awards), along with rookie of the year awards, race payouts, show-up money, and the race format.

There is a Change on the Kamp Schedule

I have re-posted the schedule on the schedule page of the website. There has been a Monster Midwest Late Model Series race added on April 25th. This will make a three night event for the Series starting at Kankakee on the 24th us on the 25th and Lincoln in Illinois on the 26th.
We have also added a Dick Potts night on June 6th.

*Rain Out Policy: In the event of inclement weather the flagman will halt the races. If, in the opinion of the track officials, that the inclement weather is sufficient enough to cancel the remainder of the event then a rainout will be declared. If the halfway point in the program has been completed (the heats and consolation races have been ran), it is considered a complete event and features will be locked in and ran the following week. If the halfway point has not been reached then rain checks will be honored at the next regular program event. There are NO CASH REFUNDS.
