MACON SPEEDWAY GEARS UP TO KICK OFF 2010 BY ANNOUNCING THREE CAR SHOWS!

Auto Zone, The Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum, The Chili Bowl and Macon Speedway have partnered up to bring you three car shows to kick off the 2010 racing season. The car shows will take place at the Auto Zone on Brett Ave in Decatur, IL on Sunday March 14 from 2-4 p.m.  Then car enthusiasts will be treated to a second show at The Chevrolet Hall Of Fame Museum on Rt 36 East in Decatur, IL, on Saturday, March 20 starting at 1 p.m. and lasting until 4p.m.  Macon Speedway and the Chili Bowl have teamed up for a special car show to kick off the season on Thursday, April 1, three days before Opening Night at Macon Speedway on Saturday, April 3.  Come and see all the same race cars that race at Macon Speedway each and every Saturday night throughout the summer.  Also on display will be the 2 seater Macon Speedway show car.

 If that’s not enough to get you there, Auto Zone, The Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum, the Chili Bowl and Macon Speedway will be giving out Door Prizes at every show. Prizes such as pairs of tickets for Opening Night at Macon Speedway are just some of the prizes to be given away to those who are there.  Join us as we check out all the cars that will be kicking off the season at Macon Speedway at the Third Annual Spring Fling Season Opener on April 3.

Macon Speedway’s season opener will feature UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks and Pro and Amateur Hornets.  The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance to pass out goodies to all the children in attendance.  Pit gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5 p.m. and the 2010 season will kick off at 7 p.m.  The wait is over bring your friends and family out to the track to help us kick off 2010!

MACON SPEEDWAY’S 2010 DRIVERS MEETING IS SCHEDULED!

(Macon, IL)  The Macon Speedway Drivers meeting for the 2010 racing season will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Civic Center in Macon, IL.  Macon Speedway is gearing up for a very exciting racing season.  All divisions, drivers and owners are welcome; the meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. The Civic Center is located off Rt 51 four lane, south of Macon(1039 S Woodcock St, Macon, IL).  The meeting will address rules and schedules for participating divisions as well as a question and answer session for competitors. This will be a good time for all drivers and owners to ask questions regarding the 2010 season.  Hope to see you there! 

The 2010 schedule is nearing completion and should be released very soon, so keep watching our website or call us for more information.  We are very excited to bring some new and exciting races to the track this summer!
