Pevely, MO (March 31st, 2012) - Dewayne Kiefer finished the UMP DIRTcar Late Model main event by dominating the closing laps to earn his feature win ever at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. Rusty Schlenk started on the front row pole but was challenged for the lead on the very first lap by Kiefer who started fourth. The two raced side by side for a couple of laps before Kiefer pulled ahead using the low side. A caution would reset the field on lap seven and Schlenk made another challenge for the lead using the high side. Schlenk would get past Kiefer and lead two laps before Kiefer would again take over the top spot on the low side. With the rest of the event going caution free, Kiefer would pull away to a dominating win. That left a huge battle for the second spot with Schlenk, Scott Weber and Ron McQuerry. Schlenk continued to run on the high side with Weber in third around the bottom with McQuerry behind Weber. With ten laps to go, McQuerry moved to the middle of the track and swept past Weber into the third spot. One lap later, McQuerry would move past Schlenk and take the second spot. McQuerry would get his best finish ever at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 with his second place run. Schlenk would hold off Weber to finish third with Weber taking fourth. Andrew Johns was the big mover in the field as he came from the fourteenth starting spot to round out the top five.

Rusty Griffaw would take advantage of lapped traffic with eight laps remaining to move past Mark Miner to earn the UMP DIRTcar Modified win. Mark Miner was pacing the field and keeping Griffaw a couple of car lengths back until Griffaw moved up to the middle of the track and moved past Mark Miner as they worked slower traffic. Griffaw would then hold off the challenges of Mark Miner and go on to victory. Mark Miner would take second. Tim Hancock went to the very top at the drop of the green flag worked his way up from the seventh starting spot to finish in the third spot. Conrad Miner would take fourth with Doug Wood rounding out the top five.

Brad Paquet took advantage of Troy Naeger's misfortunes to win the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman main event. Naeger was comfortably out front when the engine let go his machine at the half way point. That turned the lead over to Paquet who held off an occassional challenge from Troy Medley to earn the win. Medley would finish second with Jake Buechting having a great run to finish third. Chuck Adams would get the fourth spot with Danny Ems completing the top five.

Danny Ems would cruise to victory in the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pure Stock main event. Greg Jones would take second with Michael Hurst third.

Jacob Rexing would earn a hard fought win over Travis Bittle in the UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stock main event. Rexing got the lead at the drop of the green flag while Bittle worked his way up from the sixth starting spot. Bittle would get to second with five laps remaining and then pressure Rexing for the lead. On the final lap Bittle would drive hard into turn three and get along side Rexing for the lead, but Rexing powered off turned four and edged Bittle at the line for the win. Josh Peppers would finish third with Jordy Schmidt fourth and Andrew Wibbenmeyer fifth.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 is located 30 minutes south of downtown St. Louis and The Gateway Arch on Interstate 55 in Pevely, MO at exits 178 and 180.

Tickets for weekly races are only $12 with children ages 12 years old and younger admitted free in the grandstands. Pit gates open at 4pm and grandstand gates open at 5pm. Hotlaps will start at 6:30pm with racing at 7pm.
