ULTIMATE Posts More the $400,000 in Purses for 2012

Hickory, North Carolina - The Inaugural Carolina Auto Racing Show (CARS) at the Hickory Metro Convention Center this past weekend was an overwhelming and resounding success for both the Ultimate Super Late Model Series and sister series the FASTRAK Racing Series.

The FASTRAK / Ultimate booth had hundreds of visitors during the two day event including racers, car owners, promoters, fans and sponsors. Visitors to the booth were given an exclusive first-look at the 2012 schedules for both ULTIMATE and FASTRAK which are now available on each series' website.

The FASTRAK Weekly Live Remote Radio Show was also a success hosting several drivers and racing industry insiders. The great race promoter H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler stopped by and spoke with Wesley Outland and Tommy Tedder live on Saturday just before doing his own racing promotion seminar at the show.

Ultimate Super Late Model Series Releases 2012 Schedule
Carnesville, Georgia - Officials of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series are proud to announce the release of the 2012 Series schedule. The schedule was first made available to attendees of the Inaugural Carolina Auto Racing Show this past Friday and Saturday in Hickory, North Carolina. "We are very proud of this schedule. We have expanded into some new markets and added value to the series for our teams. The 2012 schedule is unique and diverse and loaded with great tracks. We worked hard to put together a smart schedule for our teams and our promoters. We studied each date and tried to ensure it would be the best available date for everyone. There may be 2 or 3 additions made in the coming weeks but we wanted to get the schedule out there so our teams could start making plans. We all believe it is a strong and reasonable regional schedule. And the whole Ultimate team is excited about the coming year." said Ultimate Series owner Stan Lester.
The Ultimate Series' sophomore season schedule currently features 23 scheduled events at 15 different tracks in 5 states and the series expects to add up to 3 additional events before the season begins. 2011 was the inaugural season for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series which was an offshoot of the former Southern All Stars East Series. In 2011 North Carolina's Chris Ferguson picked up the season title by just one point of perennial favorite Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Georgia and just 3 points ahead of the 2011 Ultimate Rookie of the Year Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, Georgia. The 2012 season kicks off at Cleveland County Speedway in Lawndale, North Carolina which is a doubleheader with sister series FASTRAK Racing Series.

Kelley Carlton Named Series Director for Ultimate Racing Series

CARNESVILLE, Ga. -- After serving in an interim capacity as race director for the FASTRAK Racing Series in late 2011, FASTRAK Companies International, Inc. today announced that Kelley Carlton has been named series director for the FASTRAK Southeast / Mid-East Touring Series and the Ultimate Super Late Model Series for the 2012 season. Carlton previously held the same position with the Southern All Star Racing Series and also maintains a race management and consulting firm. Carlton's immediate duties will include overseeing the operation and staffing of touring events, promotion, marketing and scheduling for both series.

"This is an exciting opportunity for me and my guys. Last year was just really not comfortable for me. I missed the whole schedule grind more than I thought I would. It was nice to have to some time off to get away but I am ready for a challenge. And it will certainly be a challenge taking on 2 complete touring series but my team and I are looking to take it head-on and put our best foot forward. I have had a tremendous amount of support from the dirt racing community. I want to thank those that have been in my corner and helped me with advice and guidance.I also want to thank Stan Lester for showing such confidence in me by entrusting me with both series. I am also happy that Tommy Tedder will be staying on board as the voice of the Ultimate Supers and we are on track and meshing with other staff to put a quality team together for the whole season. We are ready to get moving." Carlton said.

The first order of business on Carlton's agenda will be the Carolina Auto Racing Show (CARS) this weekend at the Hickory Convention Center in Hickory, North Carolina. "We will have a booth at the CARS show and have our FASTRAK Southeast / Mid-East Champion Brandon Umberger's car on display. We will also be hosting a series of rules meetings and releasing our 2012 schedules for both series. We have great schedules for both series. Both are diverse and will take us to some great venues. Stan and I have worked closely together on getting the schedules completed. We are still expecting to add a few more dates to the Ultimate schedule." Carlton added.

He has earned a reputation of fairness and respect and we welcome that to our organization.
