Notes: All 20 cars that started, finished the race. Their was only one caution
and that came out for a complete restart as Erb jumped the gun a bit on the
initial start. Only 12 cars finished on the lead lap. As you can see by the
results, there was not much passing going on, yet the track seemed pretty racy
despite some ongoing ruts developing in turns 2 & 4.
I will say this. My hat is off to the Kamps for running such a fine program
tonight. Total turnaround from last week as far as getting things going and
keeping them going. Weather was unseasonably cool, yet a very nice crowd turned
out to witness good close action.
Late model feature ended at 10:37pm CST. New flagman's stand was a nice move,
though I'd liek to see some protection up there for the flagman should a car or
debris leave the track in that area. P.A. system was greatly improved. Won't
comment on the announcers however. Great racing again in all classes. A big
thumbs up this week from Hoosier's Posse. Willie Reckett finally showed up with
hot cocoa for all, as he drank all the beer while sitting in the grandstands at
Farmer City. I guess no one told him that racing was cancelled Friday.
