Scott Family Honors Quincy Raceways Competitors One Last Time

The Scott Family, including Promotor Bob Scott, General Manager Jeff Scott, their wives, Jan and Sherry honored the competitors at Quincy Raceways for one last time for the 2006 racing season on Saturday, January 13. The Scotts announced at the awards ceremony that they had sold Quincy Raceways to a partnership of Tony Rhinberger and Mike Karhoff after operating the Quincy quarter mile since 1975.
The Sportmanship awards went to Jerry Weisenberger, Budweiser IMCA Late Model, Shawn Deering, Miller IMCA Modified, Dusty Bingamon, Bomber and Sarah Woodhurst, Hornets.
The Best Track Packer awards were handed to Jerry Weisenberger, Budweiser IMCA Late Model, Jim Powell, Miller IMCA Modified, Bruce Hatfield, Bomber and Levi Long, Hornet.
The Most Improved Driver awards went to Joey Gower, Budweiser IMCA Late Model, David Wietholder, Miller IMCA Modified, and Travis Booher, Bomber.
The 2006 Rookie of the Year honors went to Robbie Warner in the Budweiser IMCA Late Models, Shawn Deering in the Miller IMCA Modifieds and Aaron Brocksieck in the Bomber division.
The Best Appearing Car awards went to Denny Woodworth in the Budweiser IMCA Late Models, Tony Dunker in the Miller IMCA Modifieds, Jarrod Richie in the Bombers and James Leffew in the Hornet class.
The most prestigious award of the year is the Peoples Choice award for the fans favorite drivers as voted by the fans. The 2006 winners were Mark Burgtorf in the Budweiser IMCA Late Models, Henry Delonjay in the Miller IMCA Modifieds, Eddie Dieker in the Bombers and Sarah Woodhurst in the Hornet class.
The top drivers in each class were presented with their awards and trophies. The Budweiser IMCA Late Model Top 10 in points went to Lonnie Bailey in 10th, Kevin Tomlinson in 9th, Boone McLaughlin in 8th, Matt Bailey in 7th, Robbie Warner in 6th, Brian Kenning in 5th, Joey Gower in 4th, Jerry Weisenberger in 3rd, Denny Woodworth in 2nd and for the thirteenth time, Mark Burgtorf in 1st.
The Miller Lite IMCA Modified Top 10 in points went to Wes Mayfield in 10th, Jim Powell in 9th, Kelly Bartz in 8th, Jeff Waterman in 7th, Shawn Deering in 6th, Danny Lake in 5th, Tony Dunker in 4th, David Wietholder in 3rd, Henry Delonjay in 2nd, and Robbie Reed for his first Track Championship.
The Bomber Top 10 went to Bruce Hatfield in 10th, Aaron Brocksieck in 9th, Todd Reichert in 8th, Dusty Bingamon in 7th, Eddie Dieker in 6th, Jarrod Richie in 5th, Travis Booher in 3rd, Adam Birck in 2nd and Steve Carlin for his second Track Championship.
The Top 6 drivers were honored in the Hornet division with Bill Winkle in 6th, Levi Long in 5th, Jake Powers in 4th, Sarah Woodhurst in 3rd, James Leffew in 2nd and Steven Delonjay in his first Track Championship.
