PINKERTON, REICKS, CARTER, MCDANIEL CAPTURE 22ND ANNUAL
MUSCO LIGHTING FALL CHALLENGE CROWNS

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Oct. 11) - The Southern Iowa Speedway
closed the curtain on the 2008 racing season Saturday
night with the finale of the 22nd Annual MUSCO Lighting
Fall Challenge.

More than 200 drivers in four classes competed in the
event over the two days, with a capacity crowd on hand
Saturday night to witness some incredible racing action on
the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster.

In the MUSCO Lighting USRA Modified main event, Brad
Pinkerton of New Sharon put another feather in his cap and
solidified his legacy as arguably the most successful
driver ever to circle the Oskaloosa oval. After sweeping
both O'Reilly USMTS National Tour events this season at
Osky, "Pinky" completed the trifecta by racing from the
eighth starting spot in Saturday night's feature. Friday
night's winner, Tony Fraise of Donnellson, came from 11th
to take the runner-up spot, with defending MUSCO Lighting
Fall Challenge champion Dean Mahlstedt of Clear Lake
finishing third. Zack VanderBeek of New Sharon came from
12th to take fourth while Craig Scott of Rosemount, Minn.
held on for fifth place.

Tory Reicks of Waucoma bested a stellar field of USRA Karl
Chevrolet Stock Cars to claim victory in Saturday's main
event, holding off double-duty-driving Zack VanderBeek for
the win. Decorah's Kurt Krauskopf claimed the third spot
after coming home second in Friday's feature race. Fourth
went to track champion Matt "Iron Man" Greiner of
Washington, while Kevin Donlan of Decorah rounded out the
top-5 finishers.

In just his fifth start in the Carter's Manufacturing USRA
B-Mod division, young Cayden Carter of Oskaloosa scored a
crowd-pleasing win over a swarm of veteran racers that
could not reel in the former karting champion. Former
Stock Car ace Scott Bauer of Riceville settled for the
runner-up paycheck while Roland's Matt Lettow finished
third. Track champion Brian Edel of Oskaloosa was fourth
and Luke Wanninger of Jefferson completed the top-5.

Two-time defending track champion Jason McDaniel of Eldon
put an exclamation point on his season with a win in the
USRA Hobby Stock main event and securing the USRA Casey's
General Stores Weekly Racing Series national title as
well. McDaniel had to come from 10th on the stating grid
to overtake former USRA Hobby Stock national champ Nathan
Wood of Keswick for the win. Not to be outdone, Scott
Spilde of Ridgeway stormed from 28th to finish third, with
Creston's Ryan Vicker fourth and Brandon Hare of Elma
fifth.

Each of the four main event winners Saturday earned a
$1,500 paycheck.

Saturday night's final checkered flag closed the curtain
on the 2008 season at the Southern Iowa Speedway.
Officials from RL Promotions are already planning for the
2009 racing season, and hope to have a preliminary
schedule of events published by year's end.

in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series,

CHECKERS FLY FOR VER BEEK, WOOD, EDEL, MCDANIEL AT
SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY PEPSI SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS

By Tony Paris

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Aug. 27) - The final checkered flag of
the regular season flew Wednesday night at the Southern
Iowa Speedway with the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly
Racing Series and four track champions crowned during the
Pepsi Season Championships.

In the USRA Hobby Stock feature, Jason McDaniel of Eldon
took the win and the his second straight track title.
McDaniel had to battle Danny Thrasher of Agency for the
win.

In the Carter's Manufacturing USRA B-Mod main event, Bill
Gibson of Knoxville and Oskaloosa's Brain Edel come into
the night with only one point separating the two. Edel
took the win and track championship, but had to battle
young Carter VanDenBerg, who led all but the final four
laps in his second time ever in a B-Mod after graduating
from go-karts. Edel became the first driver under the USRA
banner to win a track championship using the GM
Performance Parts Crate Engine.

USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car division saw Matt Greiner of
Washington take his second track championship over
Oskaloosa driver A.J. Johnson, but it was former USRA
Hobby Stock national champion Nathan Wood of Keswick who
took the feature race checkers over Shane Weller of
Agency.

In the MUSCO Lighting USRA Modified division, Ron Ver Beek
nabbed the checkers in front of his hometown crowd while
Colt Mather of Webster garnered the track championship in
his rookie season driving Modifieds. Ver Beek, who missed
a week of competition due to racing in the Casey's General
Stores Hunt for the O'Reilly USMTS National Championship,
finished second in the points chase.

PITTMAN, SCHMITT, LUNDRY, SPILDE, HENKES TOP H & S MOTORS
SEASON CHAMPIONSHIPS AT CRESCO; 2008 TITLES TO WALCH,
SCHMITT, BROSZEIT, HARE, MOUDRY

CRESCO, Iowa (Aug. 22) - H & S Motors presented the Season
Championships on Friday, Aug. 22 at the Cresco Speedway in
Cresco, Iowa with five winners emerging on the night,
along with five drivers being crowned 2008 track
champions.

Defending USRA Modified track champion Kevin Pittman of
Waterloo came up short in his quest to repeat, but
finished on a high note with a victory in the USRA
Modified main event Friday. Justin O'Brien of Volga took
the runner-up spot, followed by Tom Brink of Winona,
Minn., Layne Meyer of West Union and Shawn Ryan of
Waterloo.

Darrin Walch finished ninth in the feature race, but it
was enough to secure the 2008 USRA Modified track
championship. 2005 track champion Ron Konkel, Jason
Schlangen, Pittman and Ryan York rounded out the top-5 in
the final standings.

With his fifth consecutive track title already locked up
and nothing to lose, Tom Schmitt of Independence put an
exclamation point on another dominating season as he raced
from 14th on the starting grid to win the USRA Karl
Chevrolet Stock Car main event. A trio of Decorah
drivers—Kurt Krauskopf, Jake Ludeking and Kevin
Donlan—took the next three spots while Matt "Iron Man"
Greiner of Washington rounded out the top-5 finishers.

Donlan, Krauskopf, Greiner and Waucoma's Tory Reicks
finished second through fifth, respectively, in the final
USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car points.

Maynard's Raymond Lundy scored the win in Friday's USRA
Karl Chevrolet B-Mod main event, with Brian Freilinger of
Decorah taking the runner-up paycheck. Third through fifth
went to Matt Jones of Waukon, young Tyler Droste of
Waterloo and Ridgeway's Robb Anderson.

Jimmy Broszeit of Postville secured his track championship
when he took the green flag in the main event. Freilinger
wound up second in points, with Jones third, Brian Schrage
of Cresco fourth and Postville's Koal Deering in fifth.

Scott Spilde of Ridgeway held off Brandon Hare of Elma in
the USRA Hobby Stock feature race, with Kyle Anderson of
Decorah finishing third, Bernie Adams of Stacyville taking
fourth and Nick Schweback of Caledonia, Minn., rounding
out the top-5 finishers.

It was just the opposite for Hare and Spilde in the final
points standings as Hare captured the crown over Spilde.
Anderson was also third in the final rankings, with
Schweback fourth and Adams fifth.

Cody Henkes of Postville grabbed the checkers in the
Outlaw Hobby finale, with Austin Curtin of Waukon
finishing second, Ben Moudry of Protivin third, Dillon
Anderson of Decorah fourth and Kyle Falck of Decorah
garnering a fifth-place finish.

The battle for the Outlaw Hobby points title was the
closest of all the divisions. Anderson held a two-point
lead over Moudry coming into Friday night's H & S Motors
Season Championships, but despite charging from 14th to
fourth in the main event, Moudry's third-place finish was
enough to earn the 2008 track championship by just two
points (1,190 to 1,188) over Anderson. Curtin wound up
third in the final standings, with Falck fourth and last
year's USRA Hobby Stock track champ, Chris Hovden of
Cresco, finishing fifth in points.

Friday's events brought the 2008 racing season to a close
at the Cresco Speedway. RL Promotions and the Mighty
Howard County Fairgrounds would like to thank the fans,
drivers, crew members, sponsors and their staff for
helping make 2008 a great season.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2009!

VANDERBEEK, MATHER, GIBSON, NUNNIKHOVEN LAY DOWN THE LAW
AT SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY

By Tony Paris

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Aug. 20) - Racing action at the Southern
Iowa Speedway on Wednesday was sponsored by Paul DeGeest,
who is running for re-election as sheriff of Mahaska
County. The night provided another nice crowd of loyal
fans and a strong field of cars battling for track and
national points in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly
Racing Series.

The USRA Hobby Stock feature saw Don Nunnikhoven of
Kellogg take the win in his back-up car. After he
destroyed his primary car a couple of weeks ago,
Nunnikhoven had to drag the old car out of the weeds and
he made it pay off Wednesday night. Last week's feature
winner, Jason McDaniel of Eldon, tried several times to
put the pass on the leader, but had to settle for the
runner-up spot. Agency's Danny Thrasher took third and
Rose Hill driver Shannon Sherwood was fourth.

The MUSCO Lighting USRA Modifieds saw Ron Ver Beek of
Oskaloosa take the lead in the main event and pace the
field until caution flew on lap 14 of the 18-lap event. On
the restart, O'Reilly USMTS points leader Zack VanderBeek
of New Sharon made the pass after coming from the 11th
starting spot after changing motors following his heat
race. The hard work by his crew paid off with a win. Ver
Beek took the second spot with New Sharon's Brad Pinkerton
in third while last week's winner and points leader, Colt
Mather of Webster, was fourth.

The Carter's Manufacturing USRA B-Mods saw Brian Edel of
Oskaloosa and Bill Gibson of Knoxville battle for the lead
just like the points battle where only five points
separate the two drivers. Gibson took the win with Mike
Shelton of Ottumwa in second and last week's winner,
Andrew Schroeder of Keswick, in third. Edel finished
fourth, but fell eight points behind Gibson going into
next Wednesday's Pepsi Season Championships.

The USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car feature saw Corey Stout
of Oskaloosa lead the first seven laps before Colt Mather
made the pass and go on to win. Nathan Wood of Keswick
raced his way from the 13th starting spot to come home
second. The third spot went to Stout and fourth went to
current points leader Matt Greiner of Washington.

Next Wednesday, Aug. 27, will be the Pepsi Season
Championships featuring MUSCO Lighting USRA Modifieds,
USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing
USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks. Join us after the races
for some great food and drink while we hand out trophies
and special awards at the first-ever fan-friendly
post-season awards banquet.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., grandstands open at 5:30, hot
laps are at 7:15 and the first green flag waves at 7:30
sharp.

Then on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10-11, the Mahaska
County Half-Mile Monster wraps up the 2008 racing season
with the 22nd Annual MUSCO Lighting Fall Challenge
featuring Musco Lighting USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl
Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Manufacturing USRA B-Mods
and USRA Hobby Stocks.

WEDNESDAY AT SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (Aug. 18) — This Wednesday, Aug. 20, the

MATHER TAKES TWO AT SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY
by Tony Paris

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 25) - Wednesday's USRA Casey's
General Stores Weekly Racing Series action at the Southern
Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, was sponsored by Eric
Palmer for the third straight year as the State
Representative continued his support of local auto racing.

Three out of the four features went the total length, but
the final feature of the night was cut short as heavy rain
made the racing surface very slick.

Colt Mather of Webster took the win in both the USRA Karl
Chevrolet Stock Car and MUSCO Lighting USRA Modifieds main
events.

The Carter's Manufacturing USRA B-Mod feature went to
Oskaloosa driver Brian Edel, who scored his third win of
the 2008 season with his GM Performance Parts crate
engine.

The USRA Hobby Stock feature went to Don Nunnikhoven of
Kellogg after rain started falling at 9:50 p.m., forcing
the officials to call the racing action after just six
laps were completed.

UP NEXT:

It's gonna be a great Fourth of July holiday next week,
and one Great American tradition deserves another.

On Wednesday, July 2, the Southern Iowa Speedway in
Oskaloosa, Iowa, will host the 13th Annual MUSCO Lighting
Great American Stock Car Shootout. The prestigious event,
which attracts America's most talented Stock Car and Hobby
Stock drivers in the business, will feature a $1,000 top
prize in the USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car division's main
event and $400 to the winner of the USRA Hobby Stock
feature on the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster.

Then on Thursday, July 3, the action continues at the
Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, for the 5th Annual
Kabrick Distributing Great American Stock Car Challenge.
Stock Car drivers will have a chance to compete for a
$1,500 winner's share of the purse at Cresco while Hobby
Stock drivers will be battling for $700.

Both events are presented by Plain Motorsports of Webster
City, Iowa, and both events will award track and national
points in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing
Series. However, drivers do not need a USRA license to
compete in this annual blockbuster.

Just in case that wasn't enough, the high-powered USRA
Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win each night
while the USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods will compete for $400

VER BEEK, WOOD, GIBSON THRASHER TOP BENNETT RACING
SUPPLIES NIGHT AT SOUTHERN IOWA SPEEDWAY
by Tony Paris

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 18) - After a crazy week of flooding
and Mother Nature forcing cancellation of action last
week, the racing action was exciting Wednesday night at
the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Bennett Racing Supplies of Bloomfield sponsored the night
of USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series action
at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster.

The first feature of the night went green to checkered
with Ron Ver Beek of Oskaloosa taking the lead from
polesitter Steven Blattler, also from Oskaloosa, to win
his second straight Musco Lighting USRA Modified main
event. Blattler took the second spot with Washington
driver Brandon Banks third and Steve Stewart, also from
Washington, in fourth.

In the USRA Hobby Stock feature, Danny Thrasher of Agency
has come close but just couldn't find victory lane. That
all came to the end Wednesday when Thrasher led all 16
laps for the win. Shannon Sherwood of Oskaloosa took a
close second after catching the leader on the final lap,
but just couldn't get the run on Thrasher. Ottumwa driver
Dustin Griffiths finished third and last week's winner,
Jason McDaniel, grabbed the fourth spot.

The third feature was the Carter's Manufacturing USRA
B-Mods, which saw an awesome battle for the lead between
Mike Wanders of Oskaloosa and Bill Gibson of Knoxville.
The pair brought the crowd to their feet during the final
six laps as Wanders was looking for the first win of his
career, but Gibson took the lead with four laps remaining
and took his second win at Osky with Wanders in second,
followed by last week's winner Brian Edel, who raced his
way from the eighth starting spot. Mike Shelton of
Bloomfield nabbed fourth.

The USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car division capped off the
night with Nathan Wood taking the win over local driver
Brian Mitrisin, whose right rear tire went flat on the
white flag lap and ended his run to victory lane. He
finished in the seventh spot. Matt Greiner of Washington
raced his sliver #29 machine from the back after being
involved in a first-lap crash with Mike VanGenderen of
Newton in turn 3. Greiner took the second spot with last
week's winner, A.J. Johnson, taking third and Kurt
Krauskopf of Decorah in fourth.

Next week will feature the USRA Casey’s General Stores
Weekly Racing Series with all four of the classes in
action, with the night's sponsor being Eric Palmer for
State Representative. Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. while
spectator gates open at 5:30. Hot laps will start around
7:15 and the first green flag is slated to wave at 7:30
sharp.

General admission adult tickets are just $7 while kids
ages 6-13 are $3 and children 5 and under get in for FREE.
Pit passes are $20.

New weekly ticket prices of $7 for adults ($2 less than last year) attracted a large crowd for the season-opener, and the addition of a new Kid’s Club was a big hit with the young fans. Add to that a perfectly-prepared racing surface and four classes of cars with some of the best drivers from the surrounding area competing in the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series, and it looks like 2008 could be one of the best yet for the famed Osky oval.

In the USRA Hobby Stock feature, defending track champion Jason McDaniel of Eldon passed Don Nunnikhoven of Kellogg for the lead and drove to victory lane with Nunnikhoven in second and Dustin Griffiths of Ottumwa in third, while Jesse Sobbing of Glenwood took the fourth spot.

The second feature of the night was the USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Car main event with local driver A.J. Johnson leading the field to the green. Johnson paced a pack of two- and three-wide battles until Nathan Wood of Keswick made the pass and raced to the checkers. Johnson took second with last year's track champion Matt Greiner of Washington in third and Zack VanderBeek of New Sharon in fourth.

A bit of history was made in the Carter’s Intl. USRA B-Mod feature race. Andrew Schroeder of Keswick took the lead on the first lap and paced the field until Oskaloosa’s Brian Edel made his return to the Southern Iowa Speedway in style by passing Schroeder for the lead and grabbing the win. With the win, Edel became the first driver utilizing a GM Performance Parts crate engine to find victory lane since the engine option was added to the USRA-sanctioned class prior to the start of this season. Schroeder finished second while Bill Gibson of Knoxville, who moved up from the Hobby Stock division, took third. Paul Underwood of Ottumwa was fourth.

The MUSCO Lighting USRA Modifieds saw 17-year-old Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown take the win over a field of 20 top-notch competitors. New Sharon’s Zack VanderBeek started 11th and finished second with Brad Pinkerton of New Sharon racing from 12th to finish third. Al Hejna of Ventura turned in a fourth-place finish as he was on hand as part of his whirlwind tour of the Hawkeye State to spread awareness of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). More information about the JDRF is available online at www.jdrf.org.

Next week will feature America’s Hottest Ticket on Dirt as the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour rolls into town for the 7th Annual Spring Classic featuring the mud-slinging Modified masters of the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour. Also on the racing card will be USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, Carter’s Intl. USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks as they race for track and national points in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands open at 5, hot laps begin at 6:45 and the first green flag waves at 7:15. Adult tickets are just $15, kids ages 6 to 12 are $5 and children under 6 are admitted FREE. Pit passes are $25.

Race fans can also pick up $2-off grandstand admission coupons on race day at any of the three Casey's General Stores locations in Oskaloosa.

USRA RELEASES 2008 RULEBOOK

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (Dec. 4) — On the heels of wrapping up
a thrilling and successful 2007 racing season, officials
from the United States Racing Association (USRA) have
released rules for four sanctioned divisions, effective
January 1, 2008.

"We conducted an extensive review of the combinations of
classes that are currently sanctioned under the USRA
banner, and have issued very few changes," said USRA
president Todd Staley. "We feel we have addressed a few
issues that arose during the 2007 season, and look forward
to seeing the results.”

After some significant changes to the USRA Modified class
in 2007 — including the addition of a spec motor and a
quick change rearend option — only a few minor
clarifications and safety standards have changed for 2008.

USRA Hobby Stock teams will also find very few changes to
the rules. The most significant change is approval for the
use of an unaltered Dart Iron Eagle S/S stock replacement
(SR) cylinder head.

The most significant rule changes for 2008 occur in the
USRA Stock Car and USRA B-Mod classes where a crate engine
option has been established for both classes. Stock Cars
will also have the option of utilizing a non-claimable
spec motor.

USRA B-Mods will have the option of using the
350-horsepower GM Performance Parts factory-sealed racing
engine (Part No. 88958602). The engine is based on GPP's
popular 350 HO engine, including a brand-new
four-bolt-main block, 9:1 hypereutectic pistons, cast iron
crankshaft and GM iron VORTEC cylinder heads, high-rise
dual-plane intake manifold, 8-quart single kick-out circle
track oil pan, valve cover kit with breather tube and
breather, and special "kool nut" rocker arm nut design.
The crate engine is not subject to claim.

Stock Cars have the option of being powered by the
400-horsepower GM Performance Parts factory-sealed racing
engine (Part No. 88958604). This 350-cubic-inch engine is
based on the popular Fast Burn 385-horsepower street crate
engine, but includes a racing-only 8-quart circle track
oil pan, with dual kick-out design, along with a valve
cover breather kit and special "kool nut" rocker arm
design. The assembly also includes an open-plenum
high-rise intake manifold, 1.5:1-ratio aluminum roller
rockers, forged steel crankshaft, hypereutectic pistons
and 23-degree Fast Burn aluminum heads. The crate engine
is not subject to claim and racecar has no minimum weight
rule with this option.

As an alternative to the crate or standard/open motor,
Stock Cars can also choose a spec engine option for 2008.
The spec engine must utilize the Dart Iron Eagle 200 SBC
23-degree iron cylinder head (Part No. 10310010 through
10420030) and Dart SBC Dual Plane intake manifold (Part
No. 42811000). No alterations are allowed, unless approved
in advance by the USRA. Dart Block is not allowed. The
spec engine is not subject to claim and racecar has no
minimum weight rule.

"We felt that we needed to address some cost issues with
the Stock Car class," Staley added. "This class has
remained one of the most exciting for dirt racing fans to
watch, so we need to make sure the class stays competitive
while at the same time reducing the financial barriers
some teams may have in stepping up to this class. I think
we've come up with a solid plan to keep the on-track
action at a maximum and costs to a minimum while giving
drivers some freedom of choice in what they want under
their hood."

The USRA Late Model division, which was launched for the
first time in 2007, will not return as a sanctioned
division in 2008. Officials noted, however, that the
possibility of adding a new class under the USRA banner is
being considered at this time.

Complete rules can be found on the USRA website at
www.usraracing.com.

The USRA currently sanctions 21 speedways in six states —
Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and
Missouri — with more than 1,300 licensed drivers competing
at USRA-sanctioned events during the 2007 season.

The United States Racing Association (USRA) was formed
with a mission of accomplishing three goals: increased
driver participation, increased attendance and increased
sponsorship for each USRA-sanctioned racetrack. The USRA
serves as a marketing partner with the bottom line of our
sanctioned tracks at interest, and we are committed to
maintaining guidelines to make racing affordable and fun
for all racers, yet exciting and competitive for fans. The
USRA is committed to providing a combination of
cost-effective rules for competitors in weekly auto racing
and effective marketing strategies to assist in the growth
and popularity of the tracks at which they compete.

MIDWAY SPEEDWAY SANCTIONS MODIFIEDS WITH USRA FOR 2008

LEBANON, Mo. (Nov. 27) — The Midway Speedway in Lebanon,
Mo., will have new owners for the 2008 racing season as
Lebanon businessmen Jack Jones and Tony Jackson Jr. have
purchased the speedway from Harold Armstrong. The new
owners will keep the action going on Friday nights, and
will sanction their Modified division with the United
States Racing Association (USRA).

"We will run the same regular classes this season as
Harold had set, which includes Super Stocks, Factory
Stocks, Modifieds, B-Mods, Bombers and 305 Winged Sprints
for the Friday night programs," said Jones. "Harold has
built a great thing on Friday nights here in Lebanon and
we want to keep it going. Several of the Midway staff will
be returning to help us out. We are going to be putting
together our 2008 schedule here before long but we plan on
opening up in early April with the regular racing season."

Jones, a Coldwell Banker real estate agent, and Jackson,
who owns Outlaw Racing Engines, have competed at Midway
Speedway the past three seasons. Jones, a Modified racer,
and Jackson, who runs both Modifieds and Late Models, will
see themselves in different roles on Friday evenings in
Lebanon.

Jones finished up in the top of the Modified standings the
last two seasons and has also won the Best Appearing Car
award. Jackson won the 2005 Super Stock title along with
the 2006 Modified title at the Midway Speedway.

Drivers in the Modified class at Midway Speedway will be
competing for local track points as well as USRA Casey's
General Stores Weekly Racing Series national points. With
nearby Lebanon I-44 Speedway and Monett Speedway racing
USRA Modifieds on Saturdays and Sundays, the three-track
combination could help a Missouri driver become a player
in the National Championship picture. Racing at Lebanon
and Monett, Jackson wound up 13th in national points for
2007.

Jackson at (417) 594-0310. More information about the 2008
schedule will be available in the near future.

RL PROMOTIONS TO OPERATE CRESCO, OSKALOOSA AGAIN IN 2008;
TORCH TO BE PASSED ON AT BLOOMFIELD, MEMPHIS

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (Nov. 5) — Officials from RL
Promotions, LLC, have announced that the motorsports
promotions and management company will continue to promote
weekly racing and special events at both the Cresco (Iowa)
Speedway and Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, in
2008.

As part of today's announcement, however, officials also
stated that RL Promotions has decided not to exercise
their option to remain as promoter of the Bloomfield
(Iowa) Speedway and the Scotland County Speedway in
Memphis, Mo.

“We're happy and excited about returning to Cresco and
Oskaloosa in 2008, but at the same time we're sad to say
we won't be back at Bloomfield and Memphis,” said RL
Promotions president Todd Staley. “It's been a pleasure to
work with the fairboards, fans, sponsors and drivers at
both tracks, but we simply do not have the time or
resources to devote the energy that Bloomfield and Memphis
deserve and need to have successful programs there.
Hopefully by making this announcement early on, both
fairboards can do what is necessary to implement a new
management staff that will help both tracks excel in
2008.”

RL Promotions began promoting events at the Scotland
County Speedway in 2004, and took over the reigns at the
Bloomfield Speedway two years later. Between the two
facilities, more than 100 racing events were staged,
including several big events for sprint cars, dirt late
models and the popular O'Reilly USMTS Modifieds.

“The USMTS shows at Bloomfield and Memphis were some of
the most exciting races on the schedule,” added Staley,
who also heads the O'Reilly USMTS as well as the United
States Racing Association (USRA), which sanctioned weekly
racing at both racetracks. “We're hopeful that both tracks
will host future O'Reilly USMTS shows and continue the
USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series
tradition, but that is a decision that will ultimately be
made by whomever is in charge at those tracks in 2008.”

As for the Cresco Speedway and Southern Iowa Speedway,
weekly racing on Friday and Wednesday nights,
respectively, will continue in 2008 with the USRA Casey's
General Stores Weekly Racing Series, along with several
special events dotting the 2008 calendar. USRA Modifieds,
Stock Cars, B-Mods and Hobby Stocks will again be a part
of the weekly racing action at both facilities.

The Cresco Speedway is a high-banked 4/10-mile clay oval
located 0.2 miles north of SR 9 on SW 7th (at the Howard
County Fairgrounds) in Cresco, Iowa. The Southern Iowa
Speedway is a half-mile semi-banked clay oval located 0.5
mile west of US 63 on SR 92, then four blocks north on N.
I St. (at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds) in Oskaloosa,
Iowa.
