Lake Cumberland Speedway Rained Out May 2/Car Show Rescheduled for May 9

BURNSIDE, KY (May 2, 2009)—For the first weekend of May, Mother nature didn’t deal a good hand and Track Management has been forced to cancel all racing activities at the 3/8th’s mile Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday Night May 2, 2009.

In addition, the Car Show and LIVE remote on Somerset 106.1 WYKY plus the Complete Racing Program has been rescheduled for the following Saturday Night May 9th. The Open Wheel Modifieds will have a special event next Saturday May 9 with details to be announced at the first of the week.

The Gates Open at 4:00 p.m. with Hot Lapping around 7:00 p.m. EDT. It will be a Weekly Racing Series Points Racing event this Saturday Night for all divisions including the Super Late Models, Kentucky Pro Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Chevettes and the Front Wheel Drives, their second points event of the season.

The Lake Cumberland Speedway will be participating in the Car Show and LIVE remote broadcast with Somerset 106 at the End Zone Pizza and Pub in Burnside, KY (behind Reno’s) next Saturday May 9 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with several cars and drivers that will be in attendance. All fans are welcomed to attend this LIVE remote broadcast. The Car Show will then move to Lake Cumberland Speedway later on in the afternoon so get to the track early on Saturday so you can participate in all of the action. The End Zone Pizza and Pub features Pizza and Sandwiches as well as a wide variety of other menu items.

Morgan and Taylor Claim Late Model Victories at Lake Cumberland April 25

BURNSIDE, KY (April 25, 2009)—Zane Morgan claimed the first-ever Kentucky Pro Late Model event held at the Lake Cumberland Speedway on Saturday Night April 25, 2009 with former track champion Tim Taylor of Eubank, KY claiming the 25-lap caution free Super Late Model A-Main event.

Other divisional winners were Tim York of Greensburg, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, Keith Decker, who broke Goble Bertram’s winning streak in the Super Dirt Stocks, Dusty Maybrier of Waynesburg, KY in the Chevettes and Doug Radford of Albany, KY in the Front Wheel Drive Main event.

The Lake Cumberland Speedway will return to action this Saturday Night May 2, 2009 with a Weekly Racing Series Points Racing Event and all divisions competing including the Super Late Models, the Kentucky Pro (Crate) Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Chevettes and the Front Wheel Drives. Lake Cumberland Speedway goes with Weekly Racing Series Action on May 2

BURNSIDE, KY (April 26, 2009)—This Saturday Night May 2nd, the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY will feature a full slate for all six divisional classes including the Super Late Models, the Kentucky Pro (Crate) Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, Chevettes and Front Wheel Drives.

It will be a Weekly Racing Series Points Racing event this Saturday Night for all divisions, the second points event of the season.

Last Weekend’s (April 25) Winners included Tim Taylor in the Super Late Models, Zane Morgan in the Kentucky Pro Late Models, Tim York in the Open Wheel Modifieds, Keith Decker in the Super Dirt Stocks, Dusty Maybrier in the Chevettes and Doug Radford in the Front Wheel Drives class.

Marlar Claims Caution-Free Late Model Feature at Lake Cumberland April 18th

BURNSIDE, KY (April 18, 2009)—Mike Marlar of Winfield, TN grabbed the lead away from Larry Gray Jr. on four of the 25-lapper to claim his first feature event win of the season at the Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY on Saturday Night April 18, 2009.

Other event winners of the night included Victor Lee of Stanford, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, Goble Bertram of Monticello, KY in the Super Dirt Stocks, Buzz Portman III of Albany, KY in the Chevettes while Johnnie Adams of Somerset, KY claimed his first-career win during the thrilling Front Wheel Drive feature event.
