Monster Midwest Series at Kankakee July 30
The Monster Midwest Series will be in action
this coming Friday, July 30th at the Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, IL.
The 40-lap, $3,000 to win feature will be the ninth race of the MMS season.
After eight events, Brian Shirley leads the
points by 40 over Ryan Unzicker. Kevin Weaver is third, Brian Harris fourth,
and Eric Smith fifth. Shirley leads the series with three victories (Lincoln,
Farmer City, Vermilion County). Other winners include: Mark Voigt (Tri-City),
Shannon Babb (Lincoln), Brian Harris (Lincoln), Frankie Martin (Highland), and
Eric Smith (Farmer City).

Monster Midwest Series Back in Action May 21 &
23
After a month break, the Monster Midwest Series
will be back in action this weekend. On Friday, May 21st the series will be at
the Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, IL) for a 40 lap, $3,000 to win event.
The series then moves on to Pierce's Vermilion County Speedway (Danville, IL)
on Sunday, May 23rd for a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event.
After 3 events, Jason Feger is currently the
series points leader by 25 over Shannon Babb. Brian Shirley is 36 points back,
Dennis Erb Jr. 37 back, and Brandon Sheppard trails by 45 points. Babb scored
the most recent MMS win at Lincoln Speedway on April 17th. Brian Harris was
also victorious that night taking the win in the make-up feature from April
2nd. Mark Voigt took the first series win of the season on April 16th at the
Tri-City Speedway.
