Cincinnati Modified Championship
2 races left and Rhoades and Hamilton are still tied
After 51 races in The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care Matt Hamilton and John Rhoades have settled nothing. They are deadlocked at the top of the standings with only 2 races remaining. One of those races is at Moler this Friday. This could be there last chance to break there deadlock if weather cancels the season closer at Florence Speedway on Oct 22nd. If neither driver can add to their point total the CMC will have co-champs for 2011. Also remember this Friday is Food drive night. Fans can win prizes by donating canned goods at the gate.

10 races left to decide CMC champion
Rhoades grabs CMC point lead
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's
Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care Would see John Weasel Rhoades take over the
point lead after an adventurous weekend. Matt Hamilton would head to
Illinois this weekend to race and that looked like a great oppurtunity for
Rhoades to make up some points. A heat race crash Friday Night looked like
it ended any chance of that as Rhoade's car was done for at least the weekend.
Mean while Randy Wash would claim his first CMC win of the year and 2nd carreer.
It would also be the first CMC win of the year for the Bad Fast Chassis.
Doug Adkins would follow in 2nd with Kelly Craddock 3rd in the Moler Raceway
Park feature . Action moved to Lawrenceburg Speedway Saturday Night.
Donnie Adams from Lightning Chassis would show up with his house car and suprise
everyone as he would put Rhoades in it. Evidently Adams wanted a Lightning
driver at the top of the CMC points and also wanted the
Chassis win lead. At the end of the night he would have both of his
wishes as Rhoades would take the win followed by Derek Groomer and Joey Kramer.
Rhoades 10th win of the season would improve his point total by 4 points giving
him a 2 point lead over Matt Hamilton. Car counts and weather will start
to play a factor as the CMC title comes down to the final stretch of races.

points and is now within 2 points of the lead. Rhoades would win over Dave
Mcwilliams and Doug Adkins on Friday. On Saturday he would chase Ray

Hamilton carries small point lead into this weekend
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's
Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care will see Matt Hamilton carry a 4 point
lead over John Weasel Rhoades into this weekend. Hamilton would tie
Rhoades on the win leader board as he picked up his 8th win of the year last
weekend at Florence Speedway. Meanwhile Derek Groomer was picking off his
5th win of the year at Lawrenceburg Speedway. Moler Raceway Park is back
in action this Friday with Lawrenceburg hosting the Mods on Saturday.
We are still missing some full results from past weeks but below is a breakdown
of the top 2 drivers point results this year. As you can see the high car
count races will really become even more important as they chase the title.
We will have full results next week.

Rhoades doubles up in CMC
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would see history made this past weekend. John Weasel Rhoades would win features at both Moler Raceway Park and Florence Speedway and become the first driver to win at all 4 CMC tracks. Rhoades will pick up an extra $200 at the end of the season for his accomplishment. Rhoades would end the weekend with 8 wins on the season. Derek Groomer would win his 4th feature of the year at Lawrenceburg. Even with the two wins Weasel Rhoades would lose points to Matt Hamilton. By virtue of some wins against higher car counts and still throwing out non top 5 finishes Hamilton would close within 2 points of the lead. Hamitons lowest point race still counting in the best of 15 is 58 While Rhoades is a 61. With computer issues and all results not in we were not able to provide entire points but we will have all positions next week. We will also break down the contenders best 15 point finishes. This weekend Florence Speedway has Modified heats on Friday and a Feature on Saturday with the North South 100. Lawrenceburg will host the American Modified Series on Saturday. The Ams races have produced the highest car counts in the CMC this year thus providing the most points up for grabs Win leader board brought to you by Diamond Chassis John Weasel Rhoades 8 Matt Hamilton 7 Derek Groomer 4 Devin Gilpin 2 Pete Holt 2 Doug Adkins 2 Daryl Herbert 1 Kelly Craddock 1 Joey Kramer 1 Brad Wieck 1 Bryan Barber 1 Jess Hartman 1 Michael England 1 Ray Branscum 1 Shawn Tolson 1 Chassis wins presented by Fast Shocks Lightning Chassis 10 Diamond Race Cars 9 Shaw 5 Peirce 3 Impressive 2 Nullynski 2 Mastersbilt 2 J car 1 Bandit 1

Hamilton, Branscum and Groomer take CMC wins
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt.
Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would see some great racing action that produced
three different winners. At Moler Raceway Park on Friday night Matt Hamilton
would win his 1st CMC race of the year at that track. David Mcwilliams would
take 2nd with Doug Adkins 3rd. It was Hamiltons 6th win of the year and his 14th
CMC win ever making him the winningest driver in CMC history. At Florence on
Saturday Night Hamilton would have to settle for 2nd behind Ray Branscum as the
fellow Diamond Chassis driver would collect his 1st CMC win. Shawn Tolson also
in a Diamond would roll home 3rd. At Lawrenceburg Speedway Derek Groomer would
capture his 3rd win of the year as he would be followed by John Demoss and Kyle
Mitchell.
All three of these CMC tracks will be right back in action with Moler on Friday
Night and Lawrenceburg and Florence back to it on Saturday. Please remember to
support the CMC sponsors whenever possible.

Rhoades and Hamilton win some more in the CMC
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt.
Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care is quickly becoming the Rhoades and Hamilton show.
As Moler Raceway Park on Friday Night would belong to Weasel Rhoades. He would
overtake early leader Shaun Scott as Matt Hamilton would catch Weasel late in
the race in lap traffic. Just as Hamilton would catch Rhoades though, the
checkered flag would fall. John Demoss would come home 3rd as Weasel picked up
his 6th CMC win of the year.
The two would resume their battle at Florence Speedway on Saturday night as they
would start side by side on the front row. The race would see 2 early cautions
and then go the last 18 laps green. Matt Hamilton would drive off and leave
everyone. Steve King would get by Rhoades early and come home 2nd. Rhoades would
have to settle for 3rd. Hamilton's dominating win was his 5th of the year as he
closed within 50 points of the CMC point lead.
This weekend kicks off at Moler on Friday While Florence and Lawrenceburg are
both in action on Saturday.

Kramer and Hartman in CMC action The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would take part in Steve Partin's hidden gem last Wednesday night and Jess Hartman would make his first CMC appearance a winning one. He would be followed by Pete Holt and Dave Jamison. Weather would get the best of Moler Raceway Park on Friday Night so the CMC drivers would have to wait untill Lawrenceburg on Sunday to get after it. Joey Kramer would jump to the lead on the start and lead Derek Groomer the entire way. Coming through the field though would be Pete Holt and Weasel Rhoades to finish 3rd and 4th. Rhoades has had such a good year, his point total would only increase by 8 points with his finish. Pete Holt would have the best week of any CMC drivers with 2 top 3 finishes. This weekend is a fan friendly weekend in the CMC. On Friday at Moler 15 and under are free and there will be bike races for the kids at intermission. On Saturday at Florence Speedway will be fan appreciation night. Rhoades uses stellar weekend to increase point lead in the CMC
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt.
Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would see Lightning strike twice this weekend as
Michael England and John Weasel Rhoades would capture features in their
Lightning Chassis. Moler Raceway Park on Friday saw a great field of cars show
up for the $1500 to win AMS feature. Up front Bryan Barber would battle with
Michael England while all eyes were on Matt Hamilton as he and Joey Kramer
started to make the high side work. Early on these two were the fastest but they
would eventually wear what cushion was left up high and would make contact with
the Moler concrete. Kramer would only glance the wall and lose a couple of
positions while Hamilton would make hard contact eventually causing a yellow. On
the restart England would finally settle his battle with Barber and take the
lead for good. Rhoades was charging to the front the entire race and charged
around Barber as the white flag flew
to gain 2nd and put Barber back to 3rd.
On Sunday Night the CMC would make it's first appearance at Brushcreek
Motorsports Complex in Peebles, Ohio. At the end of the night John Weasel
Rhoades, who has more wins at Brushcreek in a Modified than anyone would capture
the checkers. Dustin Webber would lead early before breaking and Shon Flannery
would challenge before suffering a flat. In the end though it would be all
Weasel Rhoades followed by David Mcwilliams and Scott Edminsten. Rhoades becomes
the first driver to win a CMC race at all 4 tracks and the first driver to win
at 3 tracks in one season. Florence Speedway is the only CMC track he has not
won at this year but he won the closer at Florence in 2010.
Hamilton and Rhoades have reached the 15 race mark and will now start replacing
bad finishes with good ones and the point race should tighten up as other
drivers approach the 15 race mark. Brushcreek is right back in action this
Wednesday with a huge race. The CMC modifieds will be part of Steven Partin's
Hidden Gem. A huge late model race where proceeds go to a college scholarship
fund. On Friday the action returns to Moler Raceway Park and On Sunday the
Modifieds head over to Lawrenceburg as they will be part of the 3rd leg of
Indiana Sprint Week.

Wild weekend of racing in the CMC The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would see 4 features ran this weekend and the action was furious. John Weasel Rhoades would capture the first of those races at Moler Raceway Park on Friday as they started the night with a make-up Feature. Doug th Buzzard Adkins would come home 2nd while Matt Hamilton would come home 3rd. In the 2nd Feature of the night The Buzzard Doug Adkins would improve one position to take the win followed by Ray Branscum while Weasel would finish 3rd and increase his point lead on 2nd place Matt Hamilton and the rest of the CMC drivers. On Saturday $1500 was up for grabs at Florence Speedway as the American Modified Series made it's first appearance at that track. 48 cars signed in as the A.M.S. drivers looked to dominate races in the CMC as they did one year earlier. Matt Hamilton was to have none of it this year though as with the large count came the highest point payout this year in the CMC. Hamilton would battle Chris Stotts and Joey Kramer throughout the feature event and Stotts would grab the lead at the white flag. Hamilton would use his famous high line to take the lead back and beat Stotts and Kramer to the line. Hamilton would most definitely gain points on leader Rhoades this Saturday night but the question was how many. Amazingly 36 cars signrd in at Lawrenceburg and Weasel Would keep the point damage to a minimum as he raced from his 10th starting position to take the lead and eventually the win. He would be followed by Chuck Griffis and Derek Groomer. Hamilton's gain would only be 2 points but there is a lot of racing left and no one has reached the 15 race mark where they start throwing out bad finishes. The AMS drivers are back in town this Friday Night at Moler Raceway Park. Then on Sunday it's the CMC's first ever appearance at Brushcreek Motorsports complex as the Modifieds are the headliners. Then on Wednesday the 6th evryone will be right back at Brushcreek for Steve Partin's Hidden Gem. The Mods will be part of the show that will see the highest Late Model purse in track history with all profits going to a scholarship fund. If your a dirt racing fan you may just want to make the queen city your home for the next 2 weeks. upcoming schedule July 1 Moler Raceway Park Phantom Fireworks Night $1500 to win AMS 3 Brushcreek Motorsports Complex Firestorm, 1st ever CMC appearance at the Creek 6 Brushcreek Motorsports Complex W/ Steven Partin's Hidden Gem 8 Moler Raceway Park w/ NRA SPRINT INVADERS 10 Lawrenceburg Speedway w/USAC Sprint Week Drivers with hometown are registered drivers and receive bonus points (R) indicates elligible for bowmanenterprise.com Rookie of the year (L) indicates elligible for Lightning Chassis Bonus last number is total races counted 162 Drivers competing John Weasel Rhoades (L) Winchester, Ohio 797 13 Matt Hamilton Aurora, Indiana 764 13 Ray Branscum 507 11 Scotty Kincaid(L) Rising Sun, Indiana 461 9 Pete Holt Independence, Kentucky 450 8 Doug Adkins West Portsmouth, Ohio 414 7 Devin Gilpin Columbus, Indiana 409 7 Kelly Craddock 408 10 Ed Hounshell(L) Middletown, Ohio 398 8 Kyle Schornick 396 10 Chris Kruetzkamp (R) Independence, Kentucky 389 8 Shane Mugavin Glen Este , Ohio 374 7 Dave Cook Cincinnati ,Ohio 371 8 David Mcwilliams Bethel, Ohio 369 8 Mark Kaetzel(R) 366 9 Randy Wash 364 9 Adam Hamilton Aurora, Indiana 347 8 Daryl Herbert Greensburg, Indiana 345 7 Jeff Litchfield Aurora, Indiana 335 7 Brandon Ramsey Florence, Kentucky 332 8 Rick Bingham(L) Cincinnati, Ohio 323 6 Cory Skipton 321 10 Joey Kramer Hanover, Indiana 320 5 Kevin Hess 319 9 Larry Pickelheimer Jr. 318 8 Brad Wieck(L) Miamitown, Ohio 316 6 Broc Burton 315 7 Steve King 312 7 Stan Freeman 308 9 Derek Groomer 305 6 Jeff Harris 298 7 Jason Cox(L) Cincinnati, Ohio 292 6 Murrell Nafe 283 9 Chuck Griffis 279 6 Nick Hodges Milford, Ohio 274 6 Roger Williams 269 7 John Martin 265 7 Trent Green 263 7 Brad Rickles 250 6 Andrew Corbin Independence, Kentucky 256 6 Jason Largent 246 6 Dustin Webber 228 6 Eric Shepard 227 5 Andy Bowman Lebanon, Ohio 225 5 Mike Marischen 222 6 Ryan Morton Middletown, Ohio 221 5 Jimmy Lennex 217 5 Tyler Fojtik 216 7 Jim Fliehman 215 7 Jeff Arnold 202 5 Tony Mcvey(L) Waldron, Indiana 201 5 Alex Brunner(R) 193 6 Kyle Mitchell 191 5 Larry Moreland Sr 190 5 Dave Kirker Winchester, Ohio 185 4 Ron Strack(R) 184 6 Larry Moreland Jr 175 5 Shawn Scott 173 4 Brian Thornberry 171 5 Rick Curtin 169 4 J.D. Rhodes Makes CMC history at Moler
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt.
Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would only see one feature not washed out by rain
this weekend. John Weasel Rhodes would capture that feature and make history as
he became the first driver to claim wins in the CMC at all 3 original tracks.
The amazing thing is that Rhodes only has 3 CMC wins total. He claimed the
closing race of 2010 at Florence Speedway and won earlier this season at
Lawrenceburg Speedway before completing the trifecta at Moler Raceway Park on
Friday night. Matt Hamilton would follow Rhodes to the checkers as he continues
to chase him in the point standings. Randy Wash would ride home third.
Next weekend Moler Raceway Park will have double features for Modifieds as they
run a regular show plus the make-up feature from two weeks earlier. On Saturday
$1500 is up for grabs at Florence Speedway as the American Modified Series make
it's first appearance at that track. Lawrenceburg will also be in action as
their race is paired with the 4-H fair.

Limited CMC action produces new points leader
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt.
Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care would start out the weekend with a rainout at Moler

Night Bryan Barber would make his first CMC appearance of the year pay off with
a win. It was his second career CMC win. Joey Kramer would come home second and
reigning cmc champion, Devin Gilpin would finish Third. Weasel Rhoades would use
a 4th place finish to take over the point lead and become the 4th different
driver to lead the CMC points in 2011. Action really heats up in the following
weeks as Brushcreek Motorsports Complex will host their first CMC races and the
CMC drivers will do battle with the American Modified Series Drivers for a
couple of races. Below is a list of upcoming action. A team can race 9 times in

Holt, Kramer and Groomer win CMC races.
Last year in the U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by
Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care, Pete Holt held the distinction as the
highest point finisher without a win. Saturday night at Florence Speedway he
made sure he would not repeat that. Pete would take his first win and be
followed by Steve King and current CMC point leader Matt Hamilton. At
Lawrenceburg Speedway 2 features were on tap. Joey Kramer would claim his first
CMC win of the year in the make-up feature. He would be followed by Ghuck
Griffis and Derek Groomer. In the second feature Kramer and Groomer would swap
positions as Groomer took the win with Kramer coming home third behind a second
place Devin Gilpin.
The CMC is back in action this weekend as Moler runs on Friday with Lawrenceburg
and Florence getting back after it on Saturday.
Sponsor highlight of the week- Fast Shocks is located in Amelia, Ohio and is
owned by Darren Jones. Darren's knowlege of setup and shock building are

Gilpin and Hamiton take CMC features The two winningest drivers in U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care history were at it again this weekend. Devin Gilpin, last years Champion would pick up his first CMC feature of the season and his 12th overall. He snuck by Jeremy Berwanger on a mid-race restart as Berwanger would hang on for second followed by Randy Wash. On Saturday night Lawrenceburg Speedway would get all but the features in before rain put a hault to the show. At Florence Speedway Matt Hamilton would start on the front row and take his 3rd Feature of the season and 11th carreer CMC feature. Hamilton would also use the win to retake the CMC point lead. Weasel Rhoades would have another strong run to finish second with Ray Branscum third. The CMC is back in action this weekend as the American Modified Series invades Moler Raceway Park on Friday Night. The Modifieds will be at Florence Speedway Saturday for Grad Night and at Lawrenceburg for Speedway for Service Men and Women night. Lawrenceburg will also have the make-up feature from this past weekend. So it should be four great features to celebrate Memorial day Weekend in the CMC. Sponsor highlight of the week- Diamond Race Cars. Ryan and Heather Thomas started Diamond Race Cars in 2007. More races have been won in the CMC in diamond race cars than any other chassis. Visit the site at Diamondracecars.net. While chassis wins and win leader board is updated point totals do not reflect Florence Speedway feature on 5-21 as results have yet to be posted. Once posted Matt Hamilton should have a 2-3 point lead. Adkins, Craddock and Groomer are winners in the CMC
Mother nature let the U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented
by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B Auto Care have a full weekend of racing for
the first time this year and it produced three new winners for the season and
some great races. Doug Adkins started out the weekend besting Devin Gilpin by
inches at Moler Raceway Park Friday night. Gilpin last years CMC champion and
all time win leader with 11 feature wins made his first CMC start of the season
at the track where he claimed 10 of those wins. Finishing 3rd was current CMC
point leader Scotty KIncaid. This was Adkins 5th career CMC win as he picked up
4 last year at Moler. On Saturday night the CMC saw 2 new faces add their names
to the CMC feature win list. Kelly Craddock beat Dave "the cookie monster" Cook
and Joe Brewer to the checkers at Florence Speedway. At Lawrenceburg Speedway it
was Derek Groomer beating John Weasel Rhodes and Jeff "suitcase" Harris. Weasel
looks
like a strong contender early in the year. In 4 races he has 3 top 3's including
a win and his worse finish has been an 8th his first night out in the "Stricker
Streak".
This weekend all 3 tracks are in action once again with Moler on Friday and
Lawrenceburg and Florence on Saturday. This is the last week for drivers to get
registered and still receve bonus points from previkous races. Visit our website
for all the info.
Please support all of our sponsors. This week we highlight B&B Auto Care. B and
B Auto Care is owned by Modified driver Brad Wieck and is located at 509 N Miami
Ave, Cleves, OH. He is a 4 time Lawrenceburg Track Champion and he and his
family have been a longtime supporter of the Modifieds.

Hamilton finds a new way to win CMC feature at Florence Speedway
Matt Hamilton from Aurora Indiana would pick up his second U.S. Race Gear
Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B
Auto Care feature of the season Saturday Night at Florence Speedway. It was his
career 10th CMC victory but probably his most adventurous. Hamilton caught Pete
Holt and Weasel Rhodes who were battling for the lead and made a move across the
bottom of the track that had him lose the handle on his Diamond Chassis. Pete
Holt would make contact with Hamilton dislodging the rear bumper on Hamilton's
car. As the rest of the field dodged both Hamilton and his rear bumper, he was
able to keep the 9H rolling and the caution flew to retrieve the bumper. Under
track rules, only cars that come to a stop are sent to the tail so Hamilton
would restart back at the front of the field. Hamilton would have no more issues
and would drive to the win followed by Holt, Rhodes, Ray Branscum and Steve
King. Hamilton may have 2
wins but Scotty Kincaid has been more cosistent. Even with no wins he holds a 2
point lead over Hamilton in the point chase as well as leading the chase for the
Lightning Bonus for the top Lightning driver in the point standings.
Moler, Lawrenceburg and Florence will all be in action this weekend as well as
Bruchcreek which will join the CMC in July. The region has received record
rainfalls in the past month. Only 4 of the 17 scheduled CMC races have taken
place and even those events were only pulled off with an extreme amount of work
by promoters and sometimes luck. With that the CMC is extending the registration
deadline to May 15th. After this date you can still register but drivers who
register before that date will receive bonus points for any previous races. This
will not be extended again no matter what the weather does. For more info visit
www.cincinnatimodifiedchampionship.com
Sponsor highlight this week is Gabbards Mt. Orab Ford and Mercury. They continue
to support the Modified division at Moler Raceway Park and wanted to add to that
by supporting the C.M.C. Gabbard’s Mt Orab Ford-Mercury was established in 1976

certified. No pressure, no gimmicks, no hassles. If you buy a car in the month
of May from them and are a CMC fan we will throw in some apparell and race
passes if you contact us ahead of time. This is only while supplies last and you
can contact us through the website.

Matt Hamilton from Aurora Indiana would pick up his first U.S. Race Gear
Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford and B&B
Auto Care feature of the season Saturday Night at Florence Speedway. It was his
ninth CMC win overall in his Diamond Chassis. Ray Branscum would lead early and
the two would swap the lead several times. Everytime it looked like Hamilton,
the reigning track champion was finally in control the yellow would fly handing
the lead back to Branscum. Finally after a lap 9 restart Hamilton wrestled the
lead away from a determined Branscum for good. Branscum would come home second
and the hard charger of the night Trent Green would come home third. Green
started 23rd after a heat race crash. Daryl Herbert would come home 4th and
maintain the CMC point lead in his Alisha and Scott Herbert owned ride. Hamilton
would cut into that lead however and is now 2 points back with 72 events left on
the schedule. Remember you
must register to be eligible for the point fund and registered drivers receive
bonus points. For all the info vist www.cincinnatimodifiedchampionship.com
Things really heat up this weekend with Moler hoping to open on Friday night and
on Saturday Night Florence will race again as well as Lawrenceburg with their

presented by Diamond Chassis? Chris Kruetzkamp leads the bowmanenterprise.com
rookie of the year race. Don't forget to check out the CMC action on thedrc.net.
