RANDOM QUOTES WITHOUT CREDIT....
JUST SOME THINGS I FOUND INTERESTING
(Wearing my rose colored glasses as normal)
PEVELY....
QUINCY....$10,000 to win....biggest payout in track history
MACON....Yes, this is Shannon's home track. He started his racing career here. His dad raced here for many years. Shannon's house and race shop are about a mile or two from the race track. Congrats Shannon on winning the Herald & Review 100!!....I can understand why drivers will skip Macon, but the drivers that do run it get the most respect. It takes a lot of car control and confidence to wheel a car around there at a high rate of speed. Especially, with a wall all the way around. Unfortunately, you are relying on the guy next to you to be just as good.
HIGHLAND....For Highland standards, that track was awesome Wednesday night. BTW, love the added feature of being able to watch the baseball game at the same time. Great walk-off homer by Colby Rasmus
PEORIA....Tonight at Peoria Speedway was one heckuva show!!!! The mods were great, the street stocks went down to the finish line, and the late models was just awesome!!! Jason Feger put on a show... He made the top work. Talked with him after the race and he said he didn't think the top was going to work but he searched for a couple of laps and he found it. It took him 15 laps to get by Weaver because of cautions and lap traffic. Jeep was coming and then Feger just kept going faster!
FARMER CITY....Look at the top 6 posted. You think there would be much passing those are 6 quality racers! It would be hard for any passing with them up front. Congrats to Erb on the win and all the top 6!
LINCOLN....Randy Korte wins
FAIRBURY....Fairbury still has one of the best atmosphere for LM racing. Glad I came even with the rain falling at home when I left for Fairbury 2 1/2 hours away......We 50 plus year old don't want to work as hard. Moyer has been there and done that. The guy wants to have fun and enjoy his career now. With young Moyer moving his career forward I bet Dad would love to be involved more and that's what he doing. My advice, sit back and enjoy watching the best dirt driver you may ever witness.
PADUCAH....One of the most anticipated races on the series....Congrats to Mr. smooth Billy Moyer on his win at Paducah, him and Jason Feger put on a heck of a show....I'm not a Paducah regular, but have been there at least 8 -- 10 times and have NEVER seen a bad feature event. Always glad that I make the nearly 300 mile trip to the track
CLAYHILL....new track on the tour
TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY....Kudos to the track crew at Tri City as the track was in great shape. It is not often that you see a water truck make a lap of the track after every heat race, but they did last night & it helped keep the top side fast which led to a great feature ....By the way Happy Birthday Tracy! I can't think of any Birthday present any better than the one Jason gave you last night!
CHARLESTON....again....Last Summernationals winner here was Bob Pierce
HAUBSTADT....Just got home from the summer nationals show and all that i can say is WOW!! I was really impressed with the whole track. Very well run, great track prep and great racing
CLARKSVILLE....Moyer steals the show as Weaver takes the points lead
FARMER CITY....Rain two nights in a row
CHARLESTON....Darn rain again....How about next Tuesday?
BELLE-CLAIR....Just an observation, but when I go to Belle-Clair for a craft show, the "women" actually know how to park their cars in neat rows, only 2 deep. Why can't race fans do the same? I know this is a sexist statement, but it's TRUE!!!!
HIGHLAND....Rain Rain go away....uhhh....too late....
QUAD CITY....Remember the Dennis Erb Jr year 2000
"Out of Control Tour?" .... He's back.... So out of control last night he could not keep the car out of the trailer, and tonight he lifts the rear end of Unzicker half way down the frontstretch to take the win.
CONCERNING THE DROPPING OF POINTS....
Only one fair way to go here....Let them drop one race....AND....
The REAL RACERS that raced at KAMP should get DOUBLE POINTS!!!!
KAMP MOTOR SPEEDWAY....My sons....left the track last night with a new favorite driver, Jason Feger....he and his family are what racing is all about and I am proud to be a fan!
FARMER CITY THE SAME NIGHT AS KANKAKEE....In a move that brings back the true meaning of United Midwest Promoters, the late models had the evening off so they could attend the UMP Summernationals at Kankakee County Speedway, a move to be duplicated next Friday by Kankakee as the Summernationals visit historic Farmer City Raceway.
KANKAKEE....Absolutely a great turn around! The restrooms next to the Expo Center were unlocked for us tailgators and it was as clean as a preachers sheets! Great job to the staff and drivers last night. We were all glad that there was only 3 classes.
BROWNSTOWN...What a terrific night of racing at Brownstown!! .... Good job Brownstown staff, gonna be hard to top that one!
(1/6/09)
As our
tenth season begins, we remain dedicated to supplying fans with the
best information possible on dirt track racing in the Midwest. There
are 14 cars (steering wheels) on our starting grid to allow you the
opportunity to take a ride around our track. The steering wheels
are exclusive to this site. The steering wheels should turn a bit
when your run your cursor over them, well, now since I changed
things up a bit, they seem to turn all the time. Grab a wheel and
take a ride. If you don't find racing news here, you may not find it
at all. Or just buckle up and cruise some of the Links pages. Vote
on-line for your favorite driver and check Jack's Facts for some fun
stuff and some old pictures. Your laps will register on the lap
counter. Remember, caution laps do not register on dirt. You will
not be subjected to any non-racing related advertisement. Please DO
check out and support our sponsors, they are the ones who make this
site possible. NO POP-UP ADS ON THIS SITE! Updating is done as time
permits.
Thank you. Go for it!!!!!
