2009 OReilly All Star Late Model Series Season Wrap-Up‏
Camargo, IL (October 5, 2009) Jason Shank OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

When Series President Guy Webb thought of having a Late Model Series, he was jumping in with virtually zero experience in the world of Late Models. I have to say, the Late Model world is much different than Sprint Car side of the world, Webb stated when asked about his involvement with the Late Models. Its been an interesting and entertaining year from my standpoint and we are looking forward to growing off of what we built here in 2009 and expanding the All Star Late Model Series for the future.

The 2009 OReilly All Star Late Model Series kicked off their inaugural season on April 17 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver , PA. 46 Late Models were on hand to start off the season with the Bear Lake Banzai Boom Briggs making a banzai move to grab the checkers and the $5,000 top prize. Briggs kept the momentum the following night as the series traveled to K-C Raceway in Chillicothe , OH for the second event of the season. Briggs fended off challenges from Richmond , Indiana s Steve Casebolt and Zanesville , Ohio s Bart Hartman to claim his second ASLMS in as many nights and come out of the opening weekend with the Championship Points lead.

Jamie Lathroum from Mechanicsville , MD opened up May with his first career ASLMS win at the Calvin Davis promoted Winchester Speedway in Winchester , VA on May 9th. Series Point Leader Boom Briggs came home 18th while Dover, Pennsylvanias Superfly Coleby Frye came home 14th moving him to second in ASLMS points and Robbie Blairs third place finish faulted him from seventh in points to third in the ASLMS point standings. Just two weeks later the tour made their second appearance at Jeff Schraders K-C Raceway where the Salt Rock Express Eddie Carrier Jr. made a last lap pass on R.J. Conley to collect his first ASLMS win. Jared Miley of South Park , PA captured his first ASLMS win at Tim Baineys Central PA Speedway in Clearfield , PA. Miley claimed the $7,000 prize over Frye and Mike Knight of Ripley , NY .

The tour finished the month of May in the state of Michigan with visits to Hartford Motor Speedway and Butler Motor Speedway. Hot Rod Conley entered the ASLMS record books after he collected his first series win at Hartford Motor Speedway and Boom Briggs grabbed his third ASLMS win of the season at Butler Motor Speedway, stretching his points lead to 50 points heading into June. The month of June is when Blair put the pedal down and started his run at the 2009 Championship. On June 14th, Robbie torched the field at H&H Motorsports Tri-City Speedway in Franklin , PA for his first ASLMS win and closing the gap on Briggs to 36 points. Eddie Carrier Jr. made his presence known again on June 20 with a dominating win at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne , WV .

Fireworks started to fly in July as Greencastle , PA s D.J. Myers picked up the huge $10,000 check at the Yankee Doodle 50 at Baineys Central PA Speedway on July 3rd. Booms point lead was now at 30 points after his fourth place finish and Blairs third place finish at CPS. The tour closed out the month of July in Indiana where Insane Duane Chamberlain pocketed $5,000 at Twin Cities Speedway North Vernon, IN while Chubzilla Chub Frank claimed not only his first ASLMS win, but his first win overall of 2009 at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg , IN.

Then it was back to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver , PA for the Dual in the Dirt which featured both OReilly All Star Late Models and the OReilly All Star Sprints. Brady Smith held off Chub Frank and the young western PA rising star Gregg Satterlee for the win while Blair cut Briggs point lead down to 14 after a strong fourth place finish. The series made their third visit to K-C Raceway on September 19th and again it was Eddie Carrier Jr. who came away victorious over former K-C track Champion Jason Montgomery and Blair who was now only six points behind championship leader Boom Briggs going into the final ASLMS event of the season.

With only six points separating Briggs and Blair for the championship, the tension was high entering the $20,000 to-win Classic at K-C Raceway. Blair took the control early during the two-day extravaganza with a win in his heat race. Boom had to transfer for the 100 lap main event through a B-Main while Blair drew the second starting position for the feature. Robbie didnt have the best of nights but his 10th place finish behind race winner Shane Clanton of Locust Grove, GA was enough to give him the 2009 OReilly All Star Late Model Series Points Title as Briggs finished 19th in the finale.

I think overall we had a good year, Series Director Jason Shank stated, we hit a few bumps along the way during our inaugural season but the guys on the track and that were dedicated to working with us and running the whole tour made it success. Its not often you have your points championship decided on the final night let alone two guys being that close. I know it was heartbreaking for Boom to lead the standings from day one and have Robbie come from as far back as he did to win it on the final night. But Blair did a fantastic job of staying consistent throughout the entire season to get the job done. Both guys, in fact, all the guys that raced with us this season have represented the series very well and will certainly help us grow in years to come.

Shane Clanton Claims Classic, Robbie Blair Scores O'Reilly ASLMS Championship

Chillicothe, OH (Oct 3, 2009) Jason Shank OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

Locust Grove, GAs Shane Clanton held of a late surge from three-time 2009 OReilly All Star Series feature winner Eddie Carrier Jr. to collect $20,000 at the First Annual Dirt Track World Cup Classic and Jeff Schraders KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH. "I saw Eddie (Carrier Jr.) up their in turn four and I thought I need to get a little lower, Clanton said in Rubbin Repair Victory Lane. He made me get up on the wheel and push it a little harder. But he raced me clean and I hope it made a great race for the fans.

"We've struggled just a little bit all year, but the last couple weeks have made up for it. My crew, these two guys here, have stuck with me and we've worked hard to get here. It's great to win this first Dirt Cup Classic here at K-C. It was a little cool for the fans, but we appreciate Jeff (Schrader) and the fans giving us a chance to race for this type of money deal."

"I would like to thank the fans and drivers who turned out for our inaugural event," said K-C promoter Jeff Schrader. "The weather didn't help us Friday, but we survived. We want to grow this race each and every year. We didn't get rich, but fans can expect the second annual "Classic" about the same time next year. Thanks for making this event a success."

Brandon Kinzer and Rob Blair paced the 26 car field to the green flag with Kinzer settling in as the race leader. Blair got off to a slow start as Shane Clanton, Duane Chamberlain, and Eddie Carrier all got by before Robbie was able to fall in line in the fifth spot.

As the laps ticked down, Kinzer got locked behind the back-markers while Chamberlain raced hard with Clanton for the second spot with Carrier close in tow. On lap 18 the Chamberlain, Clanton, Carrier trio went three wide battling for the second spot. By lap 22 Kinzer broke through the lapped traffic and jumped a few car lengths ahead. The same lap Coleby Frye slowed to bring out the first caution.

Clanton took the lead on the double-file restart as Chamberlain found some grip on the bottom of turn four to get under Kinzer while Carrier used the outside to move into third. The top five stayed the same until lap 35 when ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs slowed to bring out the caution. A quick lap later ASLMS regular Jared Hawkins came to a stop in turn 2.

When racing resumed Chamberlain took a look under Clanton for the lead but Clanton held on to the lead. By lap 43 Steve Casebolt had made his way from his 22nd place start to tenth place. On lap 45, with Clanton began separating himself from the challenges of Chamberlain as two laps later, Bart Hartmans mount came up lame to bring out a lap 47 caution.

Clanton continued to lead as Casebolt continued his assault to the front. The leaders caught the back of the field again and as soon as they did, Rick Auckland spun directly in front of Clanton to bring out another caution. The laps continued to wind down and with around 20 laps remaining, Carrier Jr. decided it was time to go as he made his way past Chamberlain for second and set his sights on the 2008 World 100 winner, Clanton. Carrier set his Grover Motorsports Rocket Chassis underneath Clanton in each corner but could never get a good enough run to make the pass. Lap after lap Carrier tried Clanton on the bottom, eventually Carrier changed his line and tried to make the pass using the high side. Carrier looked to have found something on the outside and pulled along side of Clanton in tuns one and two. All the while, Brandon Kinzer made a smooth, low-side pass on Chamberlain to move into the third spot.

Carrier did everything he could do to get around Clanton but Shane and his RSD Enterprises, SAE Parts Inc., Stevens Plumbing and Mechanical Rocket Chassis held on for his first ASLMS win as Carrier came home second. Kinzer finished third with Steve Shaver fourth and Steve Casebolt, from his 20th starting spot, rounded out the top five. Duane Chamberlain faded to sixth followed by Tim Dohm in seventh, Jonathan Davenport in eighth, ninth was Chub Frank while Robbie Blair finished tenth, nine spots ahead of Boom Briggs giving Blair a twelve point edge on Briggs to become the 2009 OReilly All Star Late Model Series Champion.

1st Annual DTWCup Late Model Classic this Weekend Oct. 1-2-3

Driver Entry list impressive and growing

Bob LeMaster Classic to Dirt Cup Classic

By Scott Wolfe

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO- The clock is counting down for the inaugural event of what is to become an annual showcase racing extravaganza at Jeff and Vicki Schrader's K-C Raceway October 1, 2, and 3. This coming weekend’s Dirt Track World Cup Late Model Classic, dubbed “The Classic”,  will pay out nearly $175,000 in prize money over the three days with the Late Model $20,000-to-win feature the main attraction for the O’Reilly All-Star Circuit of Champion grand finale.  An added bonus could provide the winner with a $60,000 first prize. The 410 Super Sprints will run for $2,500 to win and the Advanced Services Modifieds $3,000 to win.

Top entries include Eddie Carrier, Jr.; Bart Hartman, Shane Clanton,  Tony Knowles, 2009 Champion Delmas Conley, R.J. Conley, Rod Conley, Corey Conley, ,Vic Hill, D.J. Miller, Coleby Frye, Josh McGuire, Brandon Kinzer, and Keith Berner.  Either because the event is the last O’Reilly All-Star point night or through verbal commitments such drivers as Boom Briggs, Rob Blair, Jared Hawkins, Paul Howard, Donnie Moran, Tim Dohm, Barry Doss, Ben Atkins, Greg Oliver, Austin Hubbard, Jared Miley, Jason Covert, Alex Feree, Matt Lux, Davey Johnson, Rick Aukland, Doug Drown, Jason Montgomery, and John Mason are expected to be on hand.

Several other entries were on hand, but not yet processed at press time.            A couple sanctioned drivers have indicated they will be on hand, but because of moral commitments cannot  put their name on the marquis in pre-race material. This comes in addition to the red-hot contingent of K-C regulars and track champions from throughout the Ohio-Kentucky-West Virginia area. Additionally, a boat-load of modified entries have crossed the desk of owner Jeff Schrader as the open wheelers vie for a piece of the bold purse structure.

The Bob Lemaster Classic has been the label given to the $3,000 to win Late Model consolation event at the Dirt Track World Cup Late Model Classic. Bob Lemaster was car owner and crew chief on cars that won nine K-C Championships starting with Don Stump in 1969 and 1970. In 1973 and 1974 George Branscom claimed the points' title, then in 1978 the late Dick French claimed the crown.  Jim Taylor won in Lemaster cars in 1981 and 1982, then Jack Fink won championships in 1983 and 1985 for Lemaster. Lemaster was recently diagnosed with cancer, but currently plans to attend the event named in his honor.

                FRONT ROW CHALLENGE $40,000
Late Models will have a Front Row Challenge for  the pole driver who will get the first option to the bonus of $40,000, then if he declines the bonus will go to the driver on the outside front row.
The driver of either the pole or outside pole will go to the 26th position and if he can come from the back and win, the driver will receive the $20,000 winner prize and a $40,000 bonus;  if the driver makes it to second place he will receive a $10,000 bonus; if he only makes it to third place he will receive a $5000 bonus.
Modifieds will have the same challenge, but at a lower bonus appraisal.  The Modified Front Row will get the same option and that bonus will be if the driver wins only $1000 bonus.

For fans, this three day event of action-packed racing and post-race festive atmosphere is one of the best bargains in racing. A 3-day pass general admission pass is $40 and a 3-day pass  for Pit admission is $60.

K-C is located 6 miles South of Chillicothe at Alma off SR 23 at Blain Highway. For further information call 740-663-4141 or visit the K-C website at www.kc-raceway.com >

The OReilly All Star Late Model Series Wraps Up Season at the $20,000 to-win Late Model Classic at KC Raceway

Chillicothe, OH (9-25-09) - Jason Shank- OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

After a full season of OReilly All Star Late Model Series action, it all comes down toa cup, the First Annual Dirt Track World Cup. The Late Model Classic, to be held at Jeff Schraders KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH, pays $20,000 to the winner and will decide the ASLMS Championship which has turned into a vintage battle between Bear Lake, PAs Boom Briggs and Titusville, PAs Robbie Blair. The difference between the two going into the Classic is a mere six points with Briggs in front.

Briggs, who drives his family owned Rocket Chassis powered by Custom Racing Engines and equipped with Ohlins Shocks by GW Performance and American Racer Tires. Booms sponsors include Horton Equipment, Tony Spec Lumber, Meridian Hardwoods, Sorbera Family Chiropractic, CJ's Auto Transport, Briggs Transport, Sunset Dairy, Lias Tire and American Racer Tires has had a stranglehold on the ASLMS points lead from day one after winning the Series first two events of the season at Lernerville Speedway on April 17 and KC Raceway on April 18. Briggs picked up a third series victory at Butler (MI) Motor Speedway on May 30 and at that time held a 50 point lead.

Since then, Robbie Blair and his Specialty Products, Bossards Auto Parts, Maloney Tool and Mold, Armstrong Lumber, Chelbys Tanning & Hair Garage, Moody & Son Welding, Custom Racing Engines, Genesis Shocks, Hoosier Racing Tire sponsored Rocket Chassis have been chipping away at that point lead starting with Blairs win on June 14 at Robbies home track Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA. Blair has been among the top-five finishers in three of the last six ASLMS races and in the top-ten in five of those same six races. Just once in those six shows has Briggs finished ahead of Rob. With $20,000 on the line and the right to be crowned 2009 OReilly All Star Late Model Series Champion, things are bound to get extremely interesting at Ohios Fastest 3/8 Mile Dirt Track.

The battle for the championship title is not the only ASLMS points battle going into the Classic. Positions three through five are also all very close with Hot Rod Conley holding a 34 point edge over fourth place Superfly Coleby Frye while Jared Hawkins is only four points behind Frye for fourth. 38 points separates the three going into the $20,000 to-win Classic weekend which will also set up for some fantastic racing.

Jeff Schrader and KC Raceway are also offering what is being dubbed as the Front Row Challenge. The pole driver will get the first option to the bonus but if he declines the challenge will go to the driver on the outside of the front row. This is what will happen: The driver will go to the 26th position and if they can come from the back to win, the driver will receive the $20,000 winner prize AND a $40,000 bonus. If the driver makes it to second place they will receive a $10,000 bonus. If they only make it to third place, they will receive a $5000 bonus.

The Dirt Track World Cup weekend kicks off on Thursday, Oct 1 as the UMP style Modifieds hit the track for their qualifying events. On Friday, Oct 2 the ASLMS Lat Models hit the speedway with their SPEEDWRAPZ Time Trials and the Hampton Inn & Suites of Chillicothe Heat Races. The 410 Super Sprints are also on the card for a full program. The Classic will conclude on Saturday, Oct 3 with the ASLMS Late Model B-Mains, the $3,000 to-win 30-lap Modified Feature, a $3,000 to win Non-Qualifiers Race for the ASLMS Late Models, and then the $20,000 to-win 100-lap Classic.

Eddie Carrier Jr. Dominates OReilly All Star Late Model Series Field at KC!

Chillicothe, OH (September 19, 2009) Jason Shank OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

In what proved to be the final test and tune session for the OReilly All Star Late Model Series sanctioned Dirt Track World Cup Dirt Late Model Classic to be held on October 1, 2, & 3 at Jeff Schraders KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH, Salt Rock, WVs Eddie Carrier Jr. torched the ASLMS field after setting fast time in SPEEDWRAPZ Time Trials, winning his Hampton Inn of Chillicothe Heat race, and led all 50 laps of the Chillicothe 50 for his third ASLMS victory of the 2009 season.

Brandon Kinzer and Carrier brought the field down for green flag with Carrier jumping out to the early lead before Rob Lemaster spun to slow the pace. Michael Paul Howard, Barry Doss, and Kevin Layne also got tangled up in turn four but were awarded theirs starting spots back as the caution was thrown for the spun car of Lemaster. As the field attempted to take the green again, 2008 KC Raceway track champion Ben Adkins spun in turn two to halt the action. The field was finally able to get one lap in before Lemaster spun his car again to bring out the events third caution period and forcing all restarts to go single file for the remainder of the event.

Carrier held point while two more early cautions for Greg Olivers mount slowed and the other for Doss and Layne spinning again. The field settled down after the lap four restart and the action picked up. Carrier ran a steady line around the extreme outside of Ohios Fastest 3/8 Mile Dirt Track holding a solid 12 to 15 car length lead over Jason Montgomery who had made his way passed Kinzer for the second spot.

The pace was slowed again on lap 24 as Superfly Coleby Frye spun in turn three giving the third place driver of Tim Dohm nowhere to go. Dohm slid sideways into Frye ending his evening with a 16th place finish.

Carrier continued to lead the 50-lap affair with Montgomery and Robbie Blair in tow. Blair, who is in an intense ASLMS point battle with series point leader Boom Briggs, has used consistency to chip away at a once 40-plus point lead by Briggs. After the Chillicothe 50 Briggs holds a mere four point edge over Blair going into The Classic in October.

After one final caution on lap 45 for the spun car of Kevin Layne, Carrier, in his Grover Motorsports, Engines Inc. sponsored Rocket Chassis went on to hold off Montgomery for his third ASLMS (second at KC) win of the season with Blair coming home third, Rod Conley finishing a strong fourth and Donnie Moran rounding out the top five. Kinzer was sixth, Briggs seventh, eighth was Jared Hawkins, 2009 KC Raceway point champion Delmas Conley ninth and Bed Adkins tenth.

OReilly All Star Late Model Series Point Standings Tight Heading into K-C Raceway

Camargo, IL (9-11-09) - Jason Shank- OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

As the OReilly All Star Late Model Series season winds down, ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs holds a slim 14-point lead over Robbie Blair as the series heads to Jeff Schraders K-C Raceway for a $5,000 to-win event on Saturday, September 19.

The stop will be the series third trip to Ohios fastest 3/8 mile dirt track of the 2009 season. ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs took home the first $5,000 check while Eddie Carrier Jr. made a dramatic last lap pass on R.J. Conley to claim the second event.

The $5,000 to-win event will serve as a tune-up for the huge ASLMS sanctioned Dirt Track World Cup Late Model Classic that will pay $20,000 to the winner with another $40,000 possible. Were excited to get back down to K-C on the 19th as Boom and Robbie are really taking the points battle down to the wire, Series Director Jason Shank excitedly stated, and with the Classic being right around the corner we expect a heck of a field! K-C Raceway owner Jeff Schrader also informed me that the day after, September 20th will be a practice day for the Classic. From 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. will be open practice for any team interested. Drivers can contact K-C Raceway for more information on the practice day.

Drivers expected to be in attendance at K-C Raceway on the 19th include ASLMS regulars such as Rob Blair, current 2009 ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs, Rod Conley, Coleby Frye, Jared Hawkins, and Jared Miley. Also anticipated on being in action for the tune-up to the Classic include K-C regulars and regional stars like Ben Adkins, Keith Berner, Eddie Carrier Jr., Delmas and R.J. Conley, Tim and Zack Dohm, Doug Drown, Bart Hartman, Jason Montgomery, Steve Shaver and Audie Swartz to name a few.

The pit gates for the $5,000 to-win event at K-C Raceway will open at 3:30 p.m. with drivers meeting at 5:00 and hot laps at 6:00 p.m., the SpeedWrapz Time Trials at approximately 6:45 p.m. as racing will start at 7:30 p.m. For more information please visit www.kc-raceway.com.

Brady Smith Holds Off Stellar OReilly All Star Late Model Field at Lernerville

Sarver, PA (September 4, 2009) Jason Shank OReilly All Star Late Model Series Director

We had to work for that one, a relieved Brady Smith said in OReilly All Start Late Model Series (ASLMS) victory lane. We drew the pole and its always nice to start there but it doesnt mean anything at a place like this where you can start in the back and make your way to the front. I seen Chub (Frank) a few times and I knew he was a little different on tires than we were. I actually had to slow down a little bit to maintain the lead. The Prodigy fooled everyone in the scoring tower if he slowed down a little as he held off serious challenges from ChubZilla Chub Frank and The Truth Gregg Satterlee.

Smith and rising western PA star Denton Boyer led the talented field to the green flag with Brady jumping out to the early lead but a quick caution for Jeremy Miller and Bump Hedman set the field up for a complete restart. It was again Smith claiming the lead with Jason Covert sliding underneath Jordan Bland for the second spot from his fifth starting position. Covert pressured Brady for the lead as Smith ran the outside and Covert rode the bottom of the high banked 4/10 Sarver, PA oval. ASLMS regular Coleby Frye spun in turn two to bring out the events second caution and set up a Delaware Style restart that Smith would lead out of turn four.

When racing resumed, one of the hottest drivers in the country, Chub Frank got by Covert for the second position and set his sights on race leader Smith. A few circuits later Satterlee made his way past Covert and into the third spot as the third and final caution flew for the freshly crowned 2009 Lernerville Speedway Champion Alex Ferree as his mount came to a halt in turn 4.

Brady continued to lead the field as ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs, who had to use a B-Main to secure his spot in the 50-lap A-Main was working his way through the field while his counterpart, Robbie Blair (second in ASLMS points) ran solidly in the top five throughout the event. The laps ticked down and the leaders ran into heavy lapped traffic. Smith finessed his way through traffic while Satterlee turned up the wick under his Satterlee Petroleum sponsored Rocket Chassis. Gregg made his move under Chub for the third spot with nine laps remaining and quickly made a move to get by Brady with eight laps remaining.

Satterlee was never technically scored the leader though as his pass was made out of turn two and Smith returned the favor out of turn four. Brady was able to work his way through the lapped cars of Rod Conley and Jared Miley, who were also racing for position, while Satterlee and Frank got caught behind the lapped duo giving way to Smith as he went on to win his first ASLMS event in his Big Red Motorsports, Mid-America Equipment Inc Hydraulics, Willow River Saloon sponsored Bloomquist Chassis. Brady was followed by Frank who made a last lap pass on Gregg to finish second.

Robbie Blair chipped into Booms point lead with his fourth place finish while Senoia, GAs Clint Smith came home fifth. Doug Horton was sixth, Keith Berner seventh, eighth was Tim McCreadie while Jason Covert slipped back to ninth and Boom Briggs rounded out the top ten

D.J. Myers Collects $10,000 with Win at 34th Annual Yankee Doodle!

Clearfield, PA – (July 3, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

It was Greencastle, PA’s D.J. Myers taming the ultra fast Central Pennsylvania Speedway as he survived a late race caution with pressure from O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series regular Robbie Blair to collect his first career ASLMS victory in the 34th Annual ‘Yankee Doodle 50’.

Thompson, PA’s Dan Stone and Blair led the crop of 24 drivers to the green with Blair blasting to the early lead but the lead was short lived as former World of Outlaws Late Model Series Champion Tim McCreadie, who also just returned from a broken back suffered at January’s Chili Bowl, slide over the banking in turns one and two to bring out the first caution of the event.  When action resumed, the ‘Titusville Terror’ continued to lead while NASCAR Superstar Ken Schrader also went over the banking in turns one and two but recovered to keep the event green until Stone slowed with a flat tire on lap four.

The action was fast and furious when racing resumed while ASLMS regular and new CPS Track Record Holder Coleby Frye drifted over the banking surrendering his top-five spot as D.J. Myers was making his way through the field from his twelfth starting position.  After two quick cautions on laps seven and eight for Ron Davies and Keith Barbara, who was also running in the top-five, Myers continued his assault on ‘The Big Bear’.

After a handful of cautions, mostly for flat tires, Myers made his way around budding star Gregg Satterlee for second and set his sights on race leader Blair.  D.J. caught Robbie and made his move on lap 19 to take the lead in his Gunter’s Honey, PPM Chassis, Hershey Racing Engines sponsored mount.  Myers stretched his lead out ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs brought out a caution for a flat tire on lap 31 tightening the field.  Briggs returned at the tail of the field while Myers continued to lead.

Boom, racing for points, had the hammer down and was back into the top-five with a mere five laps remaining  Myers looked to have the event in the bag as the laps wound down but a caution for the flat tire of Jeremy Miller on lap 49 set up a green-white-checkered finish with Blair on the rear deck-lid of Myers.  D.J. was able to fend off Blair to garner his first ASLMS feature win with Blair coming home second, Satterlee, Briggs after a lap 31 flat tire came home fourth and Devin Friese rounded out the top five.  Scott Haus was sixth, Matt Gaston seventh, eighth was Jeff Rine, Rod Conley came home ninth with Jared Miley in a borrowed car from Benny Gordon was tenth.

O’Reilly All Star Late Models Prepare for $10,000 to-Win Yankee Doodle at CPS!

Camargo, IL (6-24-09) - Jason Shank- O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

Bear Lake, PA’s Boom Briggs will lead the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series contingent into July as the tour will make their second and final stop of 2009 to ‘The Big Track’, Tim Bainey’s Central Pennsylvania Speedway for the $10,000 to-win ‘Yankee Doodle 50’ on Friday, July 3.

“We’re expecting quite a turnout this year for the Yankee Doodle.  Last year there were several cars from out of state who I had personally talked with and they were planning on being there, but when the weather report said rain, rain, rain I guess the six hour haul was risky.  We’ve had some of the top guys in dirt racing at the speedway for this prestigious race before and with $10,000 to win, I’m sure there will be some more to add to that list,” was Director of Operations Dan Bainey’s outlook for the event.

Last years Yankee Doodle saw ASLMS Member Keith Barbara of South Park, PA take home the $7000 payday, holding off charging efforts from World of Outlaws Late Model Series star Chub Frank and Jared Miley, also of South Park, PA and 2009 ‘Grizzly’ winner back in May at CPS.

CPS Owner Tim Bainey noted “We haven’t set the admission for the Yankee Doodle yet, but I’m hoping the $15 Admission we’re starting the season with is a BIG HIT with the fans.  I would like to keep it as low as we can for the Yankee Doodle, the fans have said this is what they want – and I’m going to give them a chance to prove it!”

Drivers expected to be in attendance throughout the weekend include ASLMS regulars such as Rob Blair, Keith Barbara, current 2009 ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs , Rod Conley, Coleby Frye, Dave Hess Jr., Mike Knight, and Jared Miley.  Also anticipated on being in action during the inaugural ASLMS weekend include some of Western PA’s finest like Mike Blose, Denton Boyer, Ricky Elliott, Alex Ferree, John Flinner, Gregg Satterlee, Dan Stone to name a few.

Central PA Speedway’s pit gates will open at 3:00 p.m. for the $10,000 to-win ‘Yankee Doodle 50’ while driver’s meeting will be held at approximately 5:15p.m. Hot laps are scheduled to begin around 5:30 p.m. and the SpeedWrapz Time Trials at 6:30 p.m.  Racing will follow the SpeedWrapz time trials. Eddie Carrier Jr. Bags Second O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Win at Tyler County

Middlebourne, WV – (June 20, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

‘The Salt Rock Express’ Eddie Carrier Jr. again made his presence known at Tyler County Speedway, also known as ‘The Bullring’ in Middlebourne, WV as he became the second repeat winner on the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series tour in 2009.  Carrier used a fast but steady line to get by early race leader Mike Benedum on lap 14 on the ultra smooth Tyler County surface.

Tyler County Speedway locals Doug Eaton and Mike Benedum led the talented crop of 24 drivers to the green with Benedum grabbing the early lead from his outside starting spot.  The pace was slowed for an early red flag as St. Clairsville, OH’s Mark Banal took a terrible ride down the front straightaway.  Banal barrel rolled at least four times before his mount came to a halt just feet from the entrance to turn one.  Banal was later disqualified for his antics after the accident and will be suspended from O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series competition indefinitely.  Also collected in the violent accident was Greg Baumberger and Butch McGill.

When the green flag reappeared Benedum continued to lead as fourth starting Carrier Jr. began to put the pressure on.  Carrier snagged the lead from Benedum on the fourteenth go-round as the young ASLMS contingent began to make their charge to the front.  South Park, PA’s Jared Miley, who started sixth was barreling down on Benedum for second as the 11th starting Coleby Frye from Dover, PA made a charge to the front using the low line of ‘The Bullring’.  Fairmont, WV’s Jared Hawkins also made his way to the top five from his 9th starting spot.

On the 28th circuit Miley and Hawkins battled side-by-side for the second spot for numerous laps as Benedum started to fade.  Carrier began to run into a plethora of lapped cars to let what has now become a three car battle, including Miley, Hawkins, and Frye, for second close in.  The three youngsters swapped positions every lap and as Frye made his way under Hawkins for second and looked under the Engines Inc., Grover Motorsports, Grover Racing Engines sponsored Rocket Chassis of race leader Carrier.  Just as Carrier fought off the charge from Frye, the second caution of the event appeared as Tyler County Speedway regular Joe Loudin spun on lap 42.

The remaining eight laps were all Carrier as he went on to win his second ASLMS event of the season claiming the Eaton – Childers Memorial ‘King of the Ring’ and the $5,000 payday.  Holding on to second was Frye followed by Miley in third.  Bruceton Mills, WV’s Doug Horton slipped into fourth with Hawkins coming home fifth.  Robbie Blair was sixth as ASLMS points leader Boom Briggs came home seventh. Tim Dohm, Mike Benedum, and Paul Wilmouth rounded out the top ten finishers.

The ‘Titusville Terror’ Robbie Blair Dominates ‘Cranberry Pennzoil 40’ at Tri-City Speedway

Franklin, PA – (June 14, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

Robbie Blair made a name for himself in northwestern PA and he showed why as he lead the final 36 laps of the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series sanctioned ‘Cranberry Pennzoil 40’ at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, PA.  Blair took the lead from series points leader Boom Briggs on the fourth circuit and cruised to his first career ASLMS win.

Ron Davies and Boom Briggs led the 24-car field to the green flag with Briggs jumping out to the early lead.  An absolutely fantastic start for the seventh starting Blair as he worked his way to the bumper of the race leader Briggs by the third lap and pulled along side the ASLMS point leader to take the lead on lap four before Max Blair spun in turn two to bring out the first of two cautions.

When racing resumed, Blair and his Specialty Products, Bossards Auto, MWB Decals 25th Anniversary Rocket Chassis continued to lead as ninth place starting David Scott, subbing for the injured Bill Henry, raced his way up to the top-five and was challenging Boom for the second spot by lap ten.  The ‘Slow Ride’, Scott, Briggs, and Ron Davies battled for the second spot.  Davies took claim of the second position while Boom and Scott continued to battle for third.  Blair started to pull away from Davies as the second caution was thrown on lap 16 for Rod Conley’s spinning mount after making contact with Dutch Davies on the front stretch.

It was again Blair leading the field to the green as Scott made his move on Davies to take the second position.  Davies didn’t let Scott get away as Ron made his way back around Scott on lap 24.  A few circuits later it was World of Outlaws Late Model Series regular, Chub Frank joining the party as he now battled with Davies and Scott.  Both Frank and Scott were able to get by Davies as Ron began to fade.

With ten laps remaining, Blair still held the point while Briggs and Dave Hess Jr., we now pressuring Davies for the fourth spot.  Both Boom and Hess Jr., were able to get by Davies as Blair took the checkered flag for his first ever O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series win followed by Scott in second, Frank, Briggs, and Hess in fifth.  Franklin, PA’s Matt Lux came home sixth as Ron Davies faded to seventh with Mike Knight, Jared Miley, and Rod Conley rounding out the top 10.

Drivers expected to be in attendance throughout the weekend include ASLMS regulars such as Rob Blair, current 2009 ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs, Rod Conley, Coleby Frye, Jared Hawkins, Dave Hess Jr., Mike Knight, and Jared Miley. Also anticipated on being in action at Tri-City Speedway include Keith Barbara, Dick Barton, Mike Blose, Bob Close, Ron Davies, Matt Lux, Jeremy Miller, and Gregg Satterlee among other western PA regulars.

‘Hot’ Rod Conley Takes O’Reilly All Stars vs. ALMS Battle at Hartford!

Hartford, MI – (May 29, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

“I’ve never been there before but from what I hear it’s a big, hammer-down place, and I’m not all that good at big places” Wheelersburg, OH’s Rod Conley said before heading north to Hartford Motor Speedway in Hartford, MI.  You can bet your bottom dollar that he will rephrase that sentence now after claiming $5,000 en-route to his first career O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series event at the huge 5/8 mile Michigan oval.

Fairmont, WV’s Jared Hawkins along with Conley led the mixed group of All Star drivers and ALMS drivers to the green with ‘Hot Rod’ taking the early lead with ‘Superfly’ Coleby Frye following into second before the slowed car of Mike Knight brought out the events first caution.  During the caution period, Frye, second in All Star points, pulled off the speedway with what was said to be motor problems and did not return.

Conley and his Conley Trucking / Rocket Chassis / Draime Racing Engines / American Metal Supply / Brown Sevices LLC sponsored #71R led the field to the ensuing green flag but Hawkins, who was third in the running order spun coming out of turn four collecting or making contact with a slew of drivers including All Star point leader Boom Briggs, Brian Ruhlman, J.R. Hotovy, and Jeep Van Wormer among others.

When racing resumed Conley set a torrid pace with the ‘Titusville Terror’ Robbie Blair in tow.  On lap eight Rod was into lapped traffic as Robbie quickly closed the gap.  Conley had to take evasive action as a lapped car wreaked havoc on the race leader.  Rod was running the low groove with Blair riding the rim on the outside.  The lapped car chose the low grove in turns three and four blocking Conley and giving Robbie and open door to take the lead.  Blair blasted out of turn four the new race leader as Conley stayed right on his rear deck-lid.  The two ran nose to tail until Briggs’s mount came to a slow roll in turn two to bring out the caution flag on lap 17.  While the field was pacing under yellow, Blair’s left rear tire went flat sending him pit-side to change his tire.  Robbie rejoined the rear of the field as new leader Conley took the green.

Blair began a new assault on the field as he tried to work his way back up to the front with just over half way remaining.  Robbie’s cause was helped by a few more cautions as not only him but B-Main winner Frank Heckenost Jr. weaved his way through the field into a top five spot.

Conley pulled away from the field the rest of the way to take his first career O’Reilly All Star win followed by Matt Miller in second, Jared Miley in third, Heckenost Jr, fourth and the hard charging Blair in fifth.  Casey Noonen was sixth followed by Curt Spalding, Mike Knight, Alan Vochaska, and Dave Hess Jr. to round out the top ten.

Boom Briggs Extends Point Lead with Win at Bulter Battlegrounds!

Quincy, MI – (May 30, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

Boom Briggs, Bear Lake, PA, used the high line of Butler ‘Battlegrounds’ Speedway to get by Wheelersburg, OH’s Rod Conley with ten laps to go to pick up his third O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series win of the 2009 season.  “I needed this one bad,” Boom said as he climbed out of his Horton Equipment / Sorbera Family Chiropractic / CJ's Auto Transport / Briggs Transport / Sunset Dairy / American Racer Tires Rocket Chassis in Victory Lane.  “I was riding around on the bottom there and seen (Mike) Knight show me his nose on the outside so I thought I’d go up there to see if I could find traction.  I struggled to get into a solid rhythm after (Rod) Conley got by me but once we got on top the car just kind of took off,” Briggs exclaimed.

Briggs and Conley led the 24-car field to the green flag with Boom jumping out to the early lead before a lap one, 7 car pileup including A.J Burns, Corey Bevard, Rich Neiser, Mike Langdon, Jacob Rendel, Bryan Koebbe, and Danny Knowles.  All drivers involved were okay and racing was resumed after the accident was cleared.  Briggs continued to lead as the field got back up to speed with Conley and Mike Knight, Ripley, NY, in hot pursuit.

As the laps ticked away Jared Miley, South Park, PA and multi-time Butler Speedway track champion Terry Sroufe battled side-by-side for over ten laps, dueling for the fourth position while Boom’s eight to ten car length lead over Conley was dwindling as the leaders caught up to lapped traffic. Miley and Sroufe continued to race hard until Miley slipped up over the cushion in turn two allowing Robbie Blair to slide into the fifth spot moving Miley to sixth.

Just as Blair moved into the fifth slot, the action started to pick up with the leaders as Conley was now on the spoiler of Boom and looking to make a move for the lead.  Rod would peek his nose under the ASLMS point leader in ever corner waiting to pounce on an opportunity and on lap 29 that opportunity came as Briggs slightly slid up the banking of the tight Michigan half mile in turn four relinquishing the lead the previous night’s (Hartford Motor Speedway, Hartford, MI) ASLMS winner.

With Conley now in the lead it was now Knight hounding Boom for the second spot until the #81R of Eric Swan spun in turn three to bring out the second and final caution.  When racing resumed Conley led while Briggs and Knight battled for second.  By lap 37 Boom had changed his line to the top in order to block Knight and found something up there that his Rocket Chassis liked.  Boom, as well as Mike started gaining on Rod and it didn’t take long for Boom to make his move to get back by Rod on the 40th circuit.  Knight followed suit the next lap also getting by Conley to move into second.

Boom held on to lead the remaining ten laps to take his third O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series win of the season followed by Knight, Conley, Sroufe in fourth and Rob Blair in fifth.  Fellow ASLMS regulars Jared Hawkins finished sixth, Miley seventh, Dave Hess Jr. was eighth, Coleby Frye ninth, and Eric Spangler came home in the tenth position.

Jared Miley Collect $7,000 with O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series ‘Grizzly’ Win at Central Pennsylvania Speedway

Clearfield, PA – (May 24, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

South Park PA’s Jared Miley has always been good at Tim Bainey’s Central PA Speedway in Clearfield, PA but for the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series sanctioned ‘Grizzly’, it was a night to remember for the 23 year-old chauffer. “Yeah I’m pretty excited,” Miley said while sipping down a cold beer. “My tires just fired on that last restart and we drove around the outside. I just had the best car at the right time. Thank goodness for the caution because Coleby (Frye) had it in the bag.”

It was Tim Smith Jr, and Dave Hess Jr. bringing the star-studded field to the green flag with Smith taking the early lead from the get go. Action was intense behind the race leader as ASLMS point leader Boom Briggs almost lost control of his mount in the early stages before the event was slowed on lap seven for ASLMS regular Rob Blair as his 25th Anniversary #W11 came to a stop.

On the ensuing restart, eighth place starter and ASLMS regular ‘Superfly’ Coleby Frye made his move to get by Charleroi, PA’s Sam Stile and Gettysburg, PA’s Jeremy Miller to move into second spot behind the race leader Smith. ‘Superfly’ now had all of his attention focused on Smith as he began to size him up to take the lead. On lap 11, Frye made his move on the Tim to take the lead and slightly pull away before a caution for Jason Covert on lap 14 slowed the pace.  Jeremy Miller pressured the race leader for a handful of laps before another caution fell on lap 19 for Franklin, PA’s Matt Lux as he came to a stop in turn four.

When racing resumed it was Dan Stone’s, Thompson, PA, turn to challenge for the lead as he battled hard with Coleby and taking the lead on lap 22. The lead was short lived though as Frye battled back and re-took the lead on lap 25. It was around this time that fans started to take notice of the 15th starting, Miley. Miley had moved into the top-six and was charging fast as Frye was coming up on lapped traffic. The lapped traffic opened the door for one of the hottest drivers in the region, Gregg Satterlee, to challenge Coleby for the lead. Satterlee got to the rear bumper of Frye’s machine but Coleby worked through lapped traffic masterfully and was able to pull away from Satterlee while Miley and Miller now pressured Gregg for the runner-up spot.

The action intensified as the group battled with each other as well as lapped traffic. The ultra racy Central PA Speedway was allowing the field to run from top to bottom, two, three, sometimes four wide. Every lap the three to four car group was scored in different positions. Until Stone’s fantastic run came to an end on lap 44 when he spun in turns one and two. The caution set up the final six laps of the event and negated the solid lead Frye had established. Unfortunately for Coleby, the caution was the best thing that could have happened for Miley as it took him one lap to make his move to take the lead on the high side of the speedway. Miley checked out from there to claim his first ever O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series victory and a cool $7,000. Frye came home second followed by 20th starting Mike Knight, Miller in fourth and Satterlee in fifth. Robbie Blair was sixth with Briggs seventh, Denton Boyer was eighth, Dave Hess Jr, ninth and Keith Barbara rounded out the top ten.

The 2009 All Star Fantasy Racing Season will begin with the K-C Raceway race on May 23, 2009 and will be composed of select events up until October when the All Stars make a return trip to K-C Raceway. For full details and to register visit www.fantasydirtracing.com.

Stevie Smith is Victorious at Bob Weikert Memorial

Camargo, IL (5-10-09) by Kelly Brown - Public Relations Director – After his victory last night at Port Royal, Stevie Smith was clearly the favorite going into tonight’s main event. Smith did not disappoint as he wrote his name and with an exclamation mark in the history books as the 7th winner of the Bob Weikert Memorial.

As a result of finishing in the top-four in last night’s event at Port Royal Smith, Todd Shaffer, Mike Erdley and Alan Cole were locked into tonight’s feature event. On the front row at the drop of the Green Flag was Smith with All Star Veteran Dale Blaney by his side. Smith made quick work of Blaney, grabbing the lead in the low line going into Turn 1. Blaney countered taking the high line around the course.

On Lap 2 Blaney answered Smith’s challenge when he got around him in Turn 2. In the tracks of the dueling duo were Cole, Kevin Nouse, and Mike Erdley. By Lap 6 Smith had reeled in Blaney and was able to steal the lead from him just as the two crossed the start/finish line.

The first Yellow Flag flew just as the leaders were beginning to get into lapped traffic. As Smith was trying catching Pat Cannon to put a lap on him, the 17 car broke loose in Turn 3 and spun in front of Smith forcing him to take evasive action. When the Green Flag was shown to the field again it was short lived as Ryan Bunton’s 6r began to limp on course with a flat left rear tire.

On the restart, Smith dashed into the first corner with Blaney in his tracks, but Smith was able to put some distance between his 1 and Blaney’s 2 car. It was déjà vu on Lap 14 when the yellow banner was unfurled again as Cannon looped the 17 car around in Turn 2. Although this time Ryan Bunton got caught up in the incident and it ended both of their nights.

When the race resumed Smith continued to hold on to the top spot until there was another pause in the racing action a few laps later. In Turn 4, the 88 of Todd Shaffer and 22 of Greg Hodnett made contact and the 15 of Adam Wilt spun to miss the tangled cars. This ended the night for Hodnett, but Shaffer and Wilt continued at the back of the field.

In the closing laps of the event, Smith and Blaney continued their rivalry: PA Posse versus All Star. Blaney was able to close in on Smith several times, but at the end lapped traffic was a factor. With the Checkered Flag flying in the air it was Smith who passed under it first by several car lengths over Blaney. Cole, Nouse and Erdley would round out the top-five.

This was Smith’s ninth All Star victory and his first win in the Bob Weikert Memorial. Tonight he added his name and will forever be listed with event winners Fred Rahmer, Todd Shaffer, Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, and Jeff Shepard.

The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will be back in action at Lowes Motor Speedway on May 22. For the most up to date information on the All Star Circuit of Champions bookmark www.allstarsprint.com on your computer.

Jamie Lathroum Puts Exclamation Point on Winchester Speedway’s O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series ‘Lee Stultz Memorial’!

Winchester, VA– (May 9, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

Mechanicsville, MD’s Jamie Lathroum battled with multi-time regional touring series champion and O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series regular Robbie Blair for the first 30 laps of the 40 lap ‘Lee Stultz Memorial’ at the Calvin Davis promoted Winchester Speedway on his way to not only his first ever O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series win but his first win at the Winchester, VA oval.

Gerald Davis and Blair led the talented crop of O’Reilly All Star Late Models to the green with Robbie gaining the edge using the outside of the high banks of Winchester Speedway. Blair used the middle lane of the speedway to pull away from the back for the first nine laps until ASLMS regular’s Jared Hawkins, Coleby Frye, and Jared Miley along with Bo Feathers and Alan Sagi all came together in turn one to bring out the first and only caution of the event.

The ensuing ‘Delaware Style’ restart saw Blair continue to lead with Lathroum in tow. A mere five laps after the caution had Lathroum closing in on Robbie’s lead. As Blair closed in on lapped traffic his lead dwindled as three-time MACS champion Jason Covert and former National Champion and current World of Outlaws Late Model Series star Rick Eckert closed on the gap on Lathroum.

By the 25th circuit Jamie was on the rear deck-lid of Robbie’s 25th Anniversary Rocket Chassis. Lathroum worked the bumper of Blair until he made his move on lap 29. Jamie and Robbie battled side-by-side for a full lap before Lathroum pulled ahead to take the lead. Blair stayed with Lathroum for a few laps until Jamie slightly pulled away as Covert pressured him for the second position. Jason made his move to get around Blair with three laps to go as Lathroum continued on to claim his first ever O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series victory.

Covert came home second followed by Blair, Eckert, and fellow WoO star Josh Richards in fifth. J.T. Spence finished sixth as D.J. Myers, Gerald Davis, Ronnie Dehaven, and Andy Anderson rounded out the top ten finishers.

Boom Briggs ‘Pops’ His Second O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Win in a row at K-C Raceway!

Chillicothe, OH – (April 18, 2009) – Jason Shank – O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director
‘It just popped going into turn three,’ Boom Briggs said in ‘Rubbin Repair’ Victory Lane after literally coasting to his second win in as many nights with the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series, “That's why I had to coast this thing down to victory lane. But it's been a great weekend and a great way to kick-off this 2009 O'Reilly All-Star campaign."

2008 K-C Raceway Champion Ben Adkins and Briggs led the star-studded 24 car field with Boom taking the lead on the opening lap. Briggs stretched his lead in the early going being followed by SpeedWrapz Time Trials fast qualifier Steve Shaver and Davey Johnson as Adkins faded from the pole position. After a lap seven caution led to a Delaware Style restart which gave Indiana’s Steve Casebolt the ability to maneuver his way into the third spot behind Briggs and Shaver. Another caution on lap 11 helped Casebolt make his way around Shaver into second and right on the rear deck lid of the race leader.

Casebolt hounded Boom lap after lap, side by side, but Briggs held his line and kept his momentum up to hold off the hard charging #C9 of Casebolt. With 20 laps remaining, the two car battle for the lead quickly became a three car battle as Bart Hartman rode the rim of the high banks of K-C Raceway to pressure the race leaders.  With 14 laps remaining, Hartman used the high side to pull even with Casebolt and was just about to make a move to go around Briggs for the lead but a caution for the spun car of ASLMS regular Jared Miley brought the caution out keeping the lead in the hands of Boom.

“It took a long time for my tires to warm up,” Hartman said about his charge to the front, “but that caution killed us. Tires cooled off just enough and the leaders pulled away from me. We’re happy with our third place finish.” When the field went back to green Briggs checked out from the field and after one more caution period, went on to endure his most adventurous trip through turns three and four. On the final circuit, Boom’s mount lost power as he entered turn three. Luckily for Briggs he had a big enough lead that he was able to coast across the finish line to go two-for-two during the opening weekend for the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series.

“With a few laps to go I felt the car sputter” Boom mentioned in the Rubbin’ Repair Victory Lane, “I think I lost a couple valve springs so I moved up a groove and just kept up my momentum, it seemed to work.  Steve (Casebolt) showed me his nose a couple times, but moving up really helped me keep up my speed.  Then when I let off going into turn three the engine blew on the last lap.  That's why I had to coast this thing down to victory lane. I had a good friend die this week," Briggs said about his long time friend Shawn ‘Sheetz’ McGarvey, "I'm pretty sure he was with me the last two nights.”

K-C Raceway Added to O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Schedule

Camargo, IL (March 13, 2009) - Jason Shank – O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director

As the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series inaugural event at Lernerville Speedway (Friday, April 17, 2009) draws near, series officials have announced that K-C Raceway, located just outside of Chillicothe, OH, will host four ASLMS events during the 2009 season. Jeff Schrader, K-C Raceway’s brand new owner, just finalized the purchase of the famed southern Ohio high-banked oval as of 1 P.M., this afternoon. “This is a dream come true for me.” Said Schrader in a news release sent out by K-C Raceway Public Relations Director Scott Wolfe. “It is an exciting day for me and my family. A lot people share in the excitement and hopes I have for this season and many more to come at K-C Raceway. I can't wait to get started."

The first ASLMS trip to 'Ohio's Fastest 3/8 Mile Dirt Track' will be a $5,000 to win event and will be added on to the series’ inaugural weekend, Saturday, April 18 with the second date, also a $5,000 to win event, coming on Saturday, May 23 and will precede the $7,000 to win 'Grizzly' at Central PA Speedway. The third $5,000 to win event will be held on Saturday, September 19 while the fourth and final ASLMS event will be one to remember as it has been dubbed the "1st Annual Dirt Track World Cup Late Model Classic" presented by K-C Raceway and will be held October 1, 2, and 3. More details on the "Classic" will be available shortly. Each event will be full ASLMS Championship Points Events.

"We're extremely excited to be going to KC Raceway," Series President Guy Webb stated, "Adding a facility like KC Raceway to our schedule is just a piece of the overall component in what we are trying to build here however, with the ASLMS being the only series with a $5,000 to win, $1,000 for tenth, and $400 to start purse, a national sponsor, and a lucrative points fund that includes a tow package for our top ten drivers, we were unable to fully come to terms with Potomac Speedway and Natural Bridge Speedway and we have regretfully removed both events from our schedule."

"Going from Lernerville Speedway to KC Raceway makes for a fantastic inaugural weekend for the ASLMS," Series Director Jason Shank exclaimed, "both facilities are fast, wide, and action packed. K-C in front of the 'Grizzly' at Central PA Speedway in May adds luster to that weekend and the September date will serve as a bit of a test session for the "Classic" at the beginning of October. I'm sure drivers and fans alike will be thrilled with what we have in store for the "Classic".

The OReilly All Star Late Model Series Releases Impressive Inaugural Schedule!‏
Camargo, IL (February 28, 2009) - Jason Shank – O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series Director
The O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series has hit the Dirt Late Model world by storm this off-season and shows no signs of slowing down. First, Series President Guy Webb bought out the now defunct Independent Racing Series (IRS), then announced a lucrative $50,000 guaranteed points fund including a tow money package for the top ten in ASLMS points leading to a total points fund of close to $150,000, and are now, with the help of America's #1 online Dirt Late Model news source, DirtonDirt.com, are releasing an impressive twenty plus race schedule that will eventually expand to close to thirty and will hit eight states including Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
"Guy (Webb) did a fantastic job getting the schedule put together for 2009," commented Series Director Jason Shank. "The schedule seems to travel well for the series staff and drivers, we will be racing to and from events. With the fluctuation of fuel costs and not knowing what they will be during the summer months, that is a huge component in what we, as a series, were trying to accomplish." Shank continued, "The schedule is also not complete, we have up to ten additional events that are as close as crossing some T's and dotting some I's away from being finalized. Those events will be released as soon as they are firm."
Highlights of the schedule include the inaugural event at Sarver, PA's Lernerville Speedway, a $7,000 and $10,000 to win events at Tim Bainey's Central PA Speedway, the ''Jim Dunn Memorial'' at Midway Speedway, multiple race weekends in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio as well as the ‘Fall Classic’ at Virginia's Natural Bridge Speedway. The schedule is also not complete. The Series expects to be around 30 events total for the 2009 season.

All Stars Growth Continues in 2009‏

Camargo, IL (12-08-08) by Guy Webb -Series President
The O'Reilly All Stars family of racing series has enjoyed a very
busy off-season to date, building from a highly successful season in
2008 with the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and the O'Reilly
Midwest All Star Series, committed to the growth of top-of-the-line
winged sprint cars from Pennsylvania to Kansas. While the two sprint
car series will combine to feature approximately eighty events in
2009, the latest addition to the family, The O'Reilly All Star Late
Model Series, will add to the excitement at America's dirt tracks
with a schedule featuring approximately thirty events.

The growth of the O'Reilly All Stars family has attracted sponsorship
partners that are widely respected leaders in their respective fields,
inside and outside of the racing industry. O'Reilly Auto Parts, of
Springfield, MO., continues as title sponsor for all three series for
the third year. O'Reilly Auto Parts is a 1,900 store retail chain
serving customers throughout the Midwest and Southern United States.

regional winged sprint cars and dirt late models, approximately 110
racing dates will be held under the All Stars banner in seventeen
states.

to proven marketing systems and strategies geared to get customers to
the event and inform and entertain them during the time they are
there.

3. The All Stars have THREE websites, representing each series, and
each website has shown tremendous growth in the overall number of
"hits", which shows the amount of interest in the All Stars brand
with both fans and the racing community..

4. Internet live webcasts of All Star races at www.dirtvision.com are
reaching an additional 6,500 listeners per show, and approximately
734,000 per season.

Im extremely excited to be going to the PRI Trade Show this year,

down there to network our series to everyone involved. We know there
will a ton of questions for us when we get there but that is actually
what we want. We want everyone to know how hard we have been working
here in the off-season to put a solid product out there for drivers,

expecting to have a better idea on what drivers may be interested on

Camargo, IL (November 21, 2008) by Jason Shank OReilly All Star
Late Model Series Director

The highly anticipated OReilly All Star Late Model Series 2009
season is quickly approaching and Series President, Guy Webb and
Series Director, Jason Shank have been hard at work putting together
a very lucrative year end points fund as well as an incentive plan
for drivers planning on competing on the full tour.

The OReilly All Star Late Model Series is offering a guaranteed
$50,000 year end points fund to be paid out to the top ten in points.
The Series champion will also receive a minimum of $15,000 with the
tenth place finisher in the season ending points battle will receive
no less than $2,000. This is something we are coming right out of
the box with, stated Webb. This point fund is guaranteed, this is
not based off of the number of events we have and right now we are
sitting at around 25 scheduled events with up to 35 events possible.

Also being offered by the OReilly All Star Late Model Series is tow
(show) money to the top ten in ASLMS points. Tow money will be tiered
based on points position with the point leader receiving a cool $500
per event. Second in points will receive $400 per event, positions
three through seven will receive $250 per event, and eight through
ten will receive $200 per event.

Tow money is a solid deal for the drivers, Shank said. We are here
to put on a good show for the fans and take care of the drivers. When
the drivers are taken care of, so are the fans. Jason continued,
When we put a solid field of drivers and cars on the race track the
fans will be in for a treat. With the guaranteed year end points fund
and the tow money incentive program, the ASLMS will be the perfect
place for a regional driver wanting to expand their horizons.
