Wendell Wallace Rolls To COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Victory at I-30 Speedway
Little Rock, Arkansas (10/01/11) – The winningest driver in the history of the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series further padded his place in the records book by topping the $2,000-to win event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night.
Twenty-three entries registered for battle with the CCSDS tour on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway, and it was Wendell Wallace, who earned the JFR Graphics Pole Award for the 35 lap feature with Kyle Beard starting to his outside. As the race went green it was Wallace, who moved to the top spot as the field waged two and three wide war around the 1/4 mile oval with Kyle Beard, Gary Beard, and Jon Kirby in pursuit.
As Wallace began to motor away from the field Jon Kirby worked his way up to the second spot as seventh starting, Stacy Taylor, moved up to the third spot. A pair of cautions would regroup the field, but Wallace would once again drive away from the field as he went on to lead all 35 laps to claim his fifth tour win of 2011, and the 11th of his career. Kirby, Taylor, Curtis Cook, and Jon Mitchell rounded out the top five at the checkered flag.

Jesse Stovall $5,000 Richer After Rockabilly 45 Triumph
Harrisburg, Arkansas (09/10/11) – The Cams Super Dirt Series hosted its richest event of the 2011 season over the weekend as the 1st Annual Rockabilly 45 was held at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas), and it was Jesse Stovall, who conquered the competition to claim the $5,000 payday.
With 26 Super Late Models on hand for the event it was Jesse Stovall who earned the JFR Graphics Pole Award for the feature via preliminary action with his teammate RC Whitwell starting alongside. As the race went green it was Stovall, who moved to the lead with Whitwell, Brandon Smith, Jeff Floyd, and Dane Dacus in tow.
As drivers moved around the track trying to find the best groove, a pair of top five runners would fall victim to the thin line on the high side as Dane Dacus and Kyle Beard slipped off the top of the race track on separate occasions to relinquish their positions.
As the race progressed Stovall would establish his dominance at the front as Floyd moved into the second spot with seventh starting, Will Vaught, up to the third position. Stovall would prove to be too much for the field as he claimed his first COMP Cams Super Dirt Series of the 2011 season. The win came over Floyd, Vaught, Tony Jackson Jr., and Curtis Cook.
The event got underway on Friday night with preliminary action. The format for the event featured a unique series of heat races, where drivers accumulated points between the two events to determine their Saturday night starting positions. The first round of heat race action saw the Rocket Chassis First Heat won by Will Vaught with Jesse Stovall winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, while Dewaine Hottinger won the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Kyle Beard topped the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.
The second round of heat race action was highlighted by Dane Dacus winning the Rocket Chassis First Heat, while Brandon Smith won the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, Curtis Cook was victorious in the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Wendell Wallace won his second heat of the night in the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.
The Boston’s Sports Bars & Restaurants B-Mains were topped by Jamie Dacus and Jon Mitchell
Jon Kirby was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after charging from his 19th starting spot to a 9th place finish.
The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Dewaine Hottinger, who fell out of the race early with mechanical issues.

Billy Moyer Routes CCSDS/MARS Foes at West Plains
West Plains, Missouri (08/13/11) – Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame driver, Billy Moyer, topped the challenge event between the Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and Mid America Racing Series (MARS) on Saturday night at West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri).
The $3,000-to-win event drew a solid field of 33 competitors, but it was an all family affair on the front row for the main event as Billy Moyer Jr. earned the JFR Graphics Pole Award with his Father, Billy Moyer starting to his outside. As the race went green the family duo battled for the lead with the elder Moyer leading the first lap by a matter of inches. It would prove to as close as Moyer Jr. or any of the other competitors would get to the leader as Billy Moyer motored away from the field over the course of the event to claim the win, which came over Billy Moyer Jr., Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, and Todd Hall.
The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Jesse Stovall with Billy Moyer Jr. winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, while Curtis Cook won the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Billy Moyer scored the win in the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.
The Boston’s Sports Bars & Restaurants B-Mains were topped by Patrick Johnson and Brandon Smith.
RC Whitwell was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after charging from his 19th starting spot to an 11th place finish.
The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Shane Harris.

COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Set for Malden & I-30 Speedway
Beebe, Arkansas (08/02/11) – As the summer heat continues to sizzle so does the battle for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) championship, and this weekend, August 5th-6th, that tight battle will roll into Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) and I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).
Fresh off a swing through northern Louisiana and southern Arkansas the point's battle atop the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) is tighter than ever as Kyle Beard leads Jon Mitchell by just three points, while Brandon Smith and Johnny Virden are dead-locked for third, just 21 markers removed from the lead. Jon Kirby, Curtis Cook, Shane Harris, Dewaine Hottinger, Ian Samuel, and Bill Frye round out the top ten in the current standings.
The Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle continues to see Vilonia, Arkansas' driver, Curtis Cook, creep away from the competition with Shane Harris, Ian Samuel, and Keith Lawson rounding out the standings..
This weekend's races will also serve as the final two Ricetec Summer Series events as Brandon Smith leads the way over Billy Moyer Jr., Jon Kirby, Jeff Floyd, and Curtis Cook. The Ricetec Summer Series Champion will receive $1,000 cash, while second in the standings will receive four shock rebuilds from Integra Shocks & Springs, and third place will be awarded a free driveshaft, courtesy of Fast Shafts. For more information on Ricetec and what it can do for your crops, please visit www.RiceTec.com.

The tour's first appearance at the facility earlier this year saw Wendell Wallace claim the win. All local divisions will be in action on the program. Morgan Bagley Wins Thriller with COMP Cams Super Dirt Series
Sterlington, Louisiana (07/29/11) – Utilizing a thrilling last lap pass Morgan Bagley won his second career COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) victory on Saturday night at USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana).
On a wild night that saw festivities not get underway until almost 10pm due to wet track conditions, equipment issues, and even a power outage, Curtis Cook earned the JFR Graphics Pole Award for the 35 lap, $2,000-to-win feature. He was joined on the front row by Dewaine Hottinger, and as the race went green it was Cook, who shot to the lead with Hottinger, Trey Beene, and Jon Mitchell close behind.
A lap six caution would see a dozen competitors tangle on the front stretch, and Bagley would be a benefactor of the incident as he would dodge the accident as he advanced from his 15th position to the third spot behind leader, Cook, and Beene as the field prepared to resume green flag conditions.
The top three in the running order would remain the same for the next several laps. However, lap 26 would see bad luck strike for Beene as mechanical woes forced him pitside, moving Bagley up to the second spot. Bagley would stalk Cook for the next several laps before using a daring move on the high side to claim the lead on the final lap as he went on to claim the feature victory. Bagley was followed across the line by Cook, Bill Frye, Brandon Smith, and BJ Robinson
The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Curtis Cook with Dewaine Hottinger winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, while Trey Beene won the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race.
Morgan Bagley was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after advancing from his 15th starting spot to claim the win.
The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Trey Beene.
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will conclude their weekend on Saturday night , July 30th with a $2,000 to win/$400 to start event at 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas). For more information on the event, please visit www.Texarkana67Speedway.com.

Twenty-eight Super Late Models filled the pits at Gene Boyter’s, racy, ¼ mile oval, and after advancing from his seventh starting spot to a second place finish in heat race action, Moore, who hails from Haughton, Louisiana, set on the pole for the 35 lap, $2,000 to win event with Jacksonville, Arkansas’ driver, Stacy Taylor, starting to his outside. As the race went green it was Moore, who moved to a lead that he would never relinquish as Stacy Taylor, Wendell Wallace, and Clay Fisher in tow.
The event would be slowed three times with the most significant caution flying on lap 17 when top ten runners Jon Mitchell and Clay Fisher made contact as Fisher experienced motor issues. The contact would bring both drivers night to an early end.
Moore would go on to claim the win over Kyle Beard, BJ Robinson, Brandon Smith, and Jon Kirby, who rallied from a provisional 19th starting spot to finish fifth.
The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Stacy Taylor with Kyle Beard winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, BJ Robinson the Woodco, Inc. Third Heat Race, and Wendell Wallace topping the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat Race.
Jon Kirby was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award after advancing fourteen spots from his 19th starting spot to a 5th place finish.
The Quarter Master Hard Luck Award went to Johnny Virden.
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will now turn their attention to a big Fourth of July weekend, which will see the tour go into battle in a trio of events, which will be co-sanctioned by the Mid America Racing Series (MARS). The weekend opens on July 1st-2nd with a double header at West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri) before moving on to Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) on Sunday night, July 3rd. COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Two Race Weekend On Tap
Beebe, Arkansas (05/10/11) – There's no rest for the weary when it comes to the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) as fresh off a three day swing, the tour will invade Louisiana and Arkansas for a double header this weekend, May 13th-14th.
Last weekend's events were memorable to say the least as hard nose racing, hurt feelings, and great racing reigned supreme. Colorado's Kelly Boen claimed the opening round win at Tri State Speedway, while 2009 CCSDS Champion, Billy Moyer Jr., doubled up with wins at Thunderbird Speedway and Crawford County Speedway.
On the heels of his wins Moyer Jr. leads the points into this weekend's events with a four marker advantage over Kyle Beard as Bill Frye, Jon Mitchell, and Austin Rettig round out the top five in the standings. The next five in the standings include Gary Christian, Johnny Virden, Dewaine Hottinger, Brandon Smith, and Jon Kirby.
The Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle continues to be dead-locked with Curtis Cook and Shane Harris tied for the lead. Keith Lawson is just four points removed from making it a three way tie, and Ian Samuel is currently fourth in the standings after motor woes plagued him last weekend
Other drivers expected to possibly be in action this weekend include Jeff Sloan, Terry Henson, Wesley Crutchfield, Clay Fisher, BJ Robinson, Ross Camponovo, and more.
On Friday night, May 13th the CCSDS tour will make its first of three 2011 appearances at USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana) with a $2,000 to win/$300 to start, 35 lap event. In 2010 Bill Frye and Jesse Stovall claimed victories with the tour at the 1/4 mile oval. Joining the CCSDS Super Late Models on the program will be Limiteds, B-Mods, Super Stocks, and Hobby Stocks. Gates open at 5pm with racing action at 8pm. Adult grandstand tickets are $15 with senior citizens (60 & Up) $13, while children 6-12 years of age are $10, and 5 & under are free. Pit passes are $30 for adults with kids 10 & under $15. For more information on the event, please visit www.USASpeedwayLLC.com.
Saturday night, May 14th will see the series making its return to the newly reopened Drew County Speedway (Monticello, Arkansas) for another $2,000 to win/$400 to start, 35 lap race. The CCSDS tour last visited the facility in 2009 as Bill Frye, Billy Moyer Jr., and Michael Murphree all claimed wins around the fast, 3/8 mile. Several improvements and additions have been made to the facility for 2011, and this Saturday the CCSDS competitors will burn up the track. Also on the card will be a $600 to win Street Stock event, SS Modifieds, and Ryburn Automotive/Commercial Bank Open Wheel Modifieds. The pit gate opens at 4:30pm, with grandstands gates opening at 5:30. Hot laps are slated for 7pm with racing action at 7:30pm. Billy Moyer Jr. Wins Last Lap Thriller at Crawford County
Van Buren, Arkansas (05/07/11) – It may have only been the fifth event of the 2011 season, but on Saturday night at Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, AR) the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series held what may arguably end up as the finish of the year on the tour as Billy Moyer Jr. led only the last quarter lap to claim the $2,000 win.
Twenty-eight Super Late Models entered the event, and it was Dane Dacus, who locked into the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the 35 lap feature after earning the most points in heat race action. Kyle Beard flanked him to the outside on the starting grid, and it was Beard, who shot to the lead at the drop of the green flag with Dacus and Moyer Jr. in tow.
Beard would pace the first 25 laps before the event's first caution flew on lap 25 for Bill Frye, who went off the end of the track. Frye would rejoin the tail, and the race would endure two more cautions in the next two laps before setting up an eight lap dash to the checkered flag, which would be memorable to say the least.
Beard would maintain the lead over Moyer Jr. until lap 33, when the leader caught lapped traffic and Moyer Jr. took advantage of the situation to make it three wide with Beard and the lapped car of Keith Lawson at the white flag. The leaders would battle side by side into turns one and two and down the backstretch, and entering turn three Beard would go high to navigate lapped traffic as Moyer Jr. shot to the bottom. Exiting turn four Moyer Jr. would inch ahead by a matter of feet to claim the win in the near photo finish over Beard, Dane Dacus, Gary Christian, and Jack Sullivan.
Although Christian finished fourth at the checkered flag he was disqualified for an altercation with Dacus after the race. Christian was relegated to a 21st place finish.
The Rocket Chassis First Heat was won by Dane Dacus with Kyle Beard winning the RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, Billy Moyer Jr. winning the Woodco Inc. Third Heat Race, and Dewaine Hottinger claiming the Racing Head Service Fourth Heat.
The Boston's Sports Bar & Restaurants b-mains were topped by Curtis Cook and Jon Mitchell.
CCSDS provisionals were utilized by Keith Lawson and Jeff Sloan, while Show Me Late Model Series provisional was awarded to Larry Campbell.
Jon Kirby was the recipient of the Quarter Master Hard Luck Award after contact from another car brought his night to an end on lap 27..
The Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award went to Jon Mitchell, who advanced from his sixteenth starting spot to record a ninth place finish for the second night in a row.
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will continue the 2011 campaign next weekend, May 13th-14th, as the tour thunders into USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana) on Friday night and Drew County Speedway (Monticelllo, Arkansas) on Saturday night .

Muskogee, Oklahoma (05/06/11) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series broke into new
territory on Friday night as they sanctioned their first ever event at the 1/2
mile oval at Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma), and it would prove to be
a debut that would soon not be forgotten, as Billy Moyer Jr. claimed the $2,000
win.
Bill Frye charged from the back
row of the Woodco, Inc. third heat race to claim the heat win and along the way
earned the most points in heat race action to lock into the JFR Graphics Pole
starting position for the 25 lap feature with Friday night's winner, Kelly Boen
lined up to his outside. As the race went green it was Boen at the point with
Frye, Billy Moyer Jr., and Dane Dacus in tow.

pulled even with Boen. As the pair entered the corner they would make contact
resulting in both drivers crashing hard into the turn one wall resulting in
heavy damage to both cars. A brief altercation would take place between the two
drivers in turn one before being separated.
After a lengthy red flag the field prepared to go back
to green with Bill Frye the leader followed by Kyle Beard and Billy Moyer Jr.
Frye would lead the next couple of laps before Moyer Jr. used the low groove to
pass Frye for the lead on lap 23, and Moyer Jr., who was the 2009 tour champion,
went on to lead the closing laps to claim the win over Frye, Beard, Jon
Mitchell, and Jon Kirby.
The Rocket
Chassis First Heat was won by Justin Asplin with Billy Moyer Jr. winning the
RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, and Bill Frye winning the Woodco Inc. Third
Heat Race.

As reflected in the points listed above, drivers, who did not take part in the inaugural event at Riverside International Speedway or the inaugural event at I-30 Speedway are still eligible for the point's fund. Drivers are allowed to miss one event at Riverside International Speedway and I-30 Speedway and still be eligible for the payout.
The next event slated for the series is on April 30th at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) in a program sponsored by Bubba Daniel. For more information, please visit www.RiversideInternationalSpeedway.com .
The COMP Cams Interstate Cup has been created to reward drivers for competing at both tracks. For 2011 the tracks have coincided their schedule to not run Winged 360 c.i. Sprint Cars on the same night and to further their cooperation, they have created the COMP Cams Interstate Cup. Each weekly racing series points event at each track will count toward a driver's point total in the program. A driver will be allowed to miss one event at each track and still be eligible for point's money and prizes, but there will be no drop races. Points acquired in all races will count toward the final total.
The minimum payout for the final COMP Cams Interstate Cup will be the following: 1)$1,500 2)$800 3)$700 4)$600 5)$500 6)$200 and as more sponsors are secured the payout may be increased.
COMP Cams has also posted the following
contingency prizes for the top five:
1st - $1000 COMP Cams Gift Certificate
PLUS Trophy Cup
2nd - $750 COMP Cams Gift Certificate
3rd - $500 COMP Cams Gift Certificate
4th - $250 COMP Cams Gift Certificate
5th - $125 COMP Cams Gift Certificate
Additional contingencies are lining up for the competition as well including Hoosier Race Tires, who will be donating tires to be given away as well as a Hoosier Champion's jacket.
In addition to money and contingencies, the program will reward provisionals. The driver, highest in the point's program, who doesn't qualify for the 4th Annual Ralph Henson Memorial on Saturday, September 24th at I-30 Speedway will get a provisional starting spot in the main event. Beebe, Arkansas
(04/08/11) – The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series opened its 2011 season on Friday
night at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) with a 35 lap, $2,000 to win event,
and it was first time winner, Allen Murray, who stood in victory lane at the end
of the opener.
Twenty-six Super Late
Models, representing six states, were on hand for the 2011 lid-lifter, and it
would prove to be a race that would not leave the fans disappointed. The JFR
Graphics Pole Qualifier was Greenbrier, Arkansas driver, Jack Sullivan, who
earned the most points in heat race action in his #1s GRT House Car. He was
joined on the front row by Jon Mitchell from Texarkana, Texas, and at the drop
of the green flag it was Mitchell, who edged to the narrow lead over Sullivan,
Bill Frye, Allen Murray, and Gary Christian. During the opening laps Mitchell
would inch away from the field as Sullivan and Frye began a spirited battle for
the second spot.
The race would see a
series of caution flags during the first half of the event, which kept the
leaders in tight quarters, but Mitchell would maintain the top spot. As the
field continued to battle two and three wide all eyes would turn to the battle
for second as Sullivan and Frye continued an intense battle for the position.
Lap 25 would see the culmination of the battle as contact between the two down
the backstretch would see Sullivan spin out of control to the top of turn three.
After a few intense moments under caution, Sullivan would ultimately decide to
retire from the event.
As the field
prepared to restart, the top five running order consisted of
Mitchell, Frye, Murray, Christian, and Wendell
Wallace, who was making his first appearance in the top five. On the restart,
Murray would shoot past Frye for second, and two laps later Frye would bring out
the final caution as he slowed in turn two with a flat left rear. He would duck
into the pits and rejoin the field for the final five laps.
On the restart, Mitchell would continue to battle a
treacherous cushion, and on lap 33 the cushion would claim Mitchell allowing
Murray and Wallace to move past. Murray would go on to lead the last two laps to
claim the win, but in his excitement of his first win he would spin in turn one
after taking the checkered flag causing several drivers to be forced into
evasive action including the third place finishing Mitchell who climbed the turn
one wall with his car. The final top five in the chaos-filled event would
consist of race winner, Allen Murray, Austin Rettig, Jon Mitchell, Wendell
Wallace, and Gary Christian.
The Rocket
Chassis First Heat was won by Jack Sullivan with Jon Kirby winning the
RacingJunk.com Second Heat Race, while Jon Mitchell won the Woodco Inc. Third
Heat Race, and Austin Rettig won the fourth and final heat race.
The twin b-mains were won by Curtis Cook and Billy
Moyer Jr.
Series provisionals were
utilized by Terry Henson and Wesley Crutchfield.
Brandon Smith was the recipient of the Larry Shaw Race
Cars Hard Charger Award after advancing from his 17th starting spot to a 7th
place finish.
The Quarter Master Hard
Luck Award went to Allen Rettig, who saw his car heavily damaged in b-main
action.
The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series
will see the second night of the weekend double header held on Saturday night at
Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) with the 3rd Annual
