Steidinger caught up to him. The two raced side by side for three laps before
Hedrick hit the wall coming out of turn 4 and was done for the night.

cars racing series comes to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway. See race
cars from yester year race on the Fairbury oval as well as meet drivers from
Fairbury's storied history such as Jack Tyne, Joe Williams and more. Before
the races there will be a cookout and a chance to view all the vintage cars up
close. The Fairbury Speedway would like to invite all former drivers and
their families to this event as there will also be scrapbooks and pictures of
years past as well as a chance to talk to former drivers and fans.

Billy Moyer jumped out to the early lead and was
passed by Jimmy Mars on lap 4. Mars led most of the race and looked as though
he would win easily until there was 21 laps to go when Marlar who started 12th
passed Mars to take the lead. Marlar led the rest of the way, but was
threatened by Shannon Babb who came from 6th with 15 to go, got under Marlar
with 3 to go but lapped cars hindered Babb from pulling out a win.

Late Models
Daren Friedman of Forrest took the lead with 7
laps to go from Ryan Dauber of Tonica and went on to win his feature at
Fairbury this season and his second of the year. His other feature win came
three weeks ago at Farmer City. The Forrest native said his crew and himself
replaced the motor and the front end earlier in the day and it paid off.
Scott Bull of Fairbury edged Dauber for second while Joe Harlan, Friday
night's feature winner at Farmer City finished fourth and Eric Smith of
Shirley rounded out the top 5.

Appreciation Night & UMP Modified Special this coming Saturday, June 2nd. The
UMP Modified feature will pay $800 to win. The UMP Late Models, UMP Sportsman
