Alan Vaughn Completes the Drive for Five with the O'Reilly MLRA

Buckner, MO (October 1, 2007) - When the 2007 O'Reilly MLRA season began
Belton, MO's Alan Vaughn had one thing on his mind - taking down a fifth
O'Reilly MLRA Championship. Twenty-five events later Vaughn found himself
just there as the 2007 season concluded at Lakeside Speedway over the
weekend. For Vaughn, the championship goes along with those that he was
able to capture in 1995, 2002, 2003, and 2004 thus making him one of only
two people to won the O'Reilly MLRA championship five times.

The 2007 season marked a return to the winner's circle for Vaughn and his
team as he captured the win on June 9 at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley,
MO. The win was the first for Vaughn and his team since August 2005 when
they captured the checkered flag at Lebanon Midway Speedway. The team had
his machine running strong and in contention every night, as evidenced by
his 18 top 10 finishes in 25 races, but everything just hadn't come together
until the team unloaded at Valley Speedway that night. The win also marked
the twenty-seventh O'Reilly MLRA feature event win for Vaughn and his 22V
machine, putting him fifth on the all time wins list.

Consistency and running up front are what moved Vaughn to the top of the
points standings and kept him there for the biggest part of the season.
Competing in twenty-five events he was able to round out the season with
seven top 5 runs and 18 top 10's. The team also notched seven heat race
victories and a lone B feature win throughout the year.

The 2007 season also marked a milestone for Vaughn as he has now finished in
the top ten in the O'Reilly MLRA points standings for fourteen straight
seasons.

Everyone with the O'Reilly MLRA and all of the 2007 Sponsors would like to
congratulate Alan Vaughn on his 2007 championship.

ANDERSON SCORES LATE MODEL SHOWDOWN WIN AT LAKESIDE

Holds off field for WDRL win despite yellow flags late in the race

By Bucky Doren
WORLD Dirt Racing League

Kansas City, Kans. (Sept. 30, 2007) -- After scoring the runner-up spot the
night before, John Anderson nabbed the WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome
Late Model Series win in the Late Model Showdown here Saturday night at
Lakeside Speedway. The race was co-sanctioned by MLRA.

Kyle Berck took the lead at the drop of the green flag with Anderson
following in Berck's tire tracks. On lap nine, Anderson was able to slip
underneath Berck off of turn two for the lead. The two went side by side
into turn three, and it was Anderson who came off of turn four with the
lead.

Anderson started working lapped traffic, and that allowed Berck to close
back up on Anderson's bumper. Jeremy Payne began catching up with the front
two at the same time. A yellow on lap 25 gave Anderson a clean track, and he
controlled the field for the win.

Berck ran second, trying to hold off Payne for several laps. Payne worked
his no. 74 to the high side and took over the second spot. Berck suffered
mechanical problems and was forced pit side before the race was over.

Payne finished second to Anderson. Eric Pember ran a solid top-five all
night, securing a third-place finish. PolyDome Late Model Series
Rookie-of-the-Year competition points leader John Kaanta finished fourth,
followed by Kelly Boen.

"I would have loved to race against Terry (Phillips), but we'll take the
win," Anderson admitted from the AMSOIL Victory Lane. Phillips, who Anderson
finished second to the night before at Lakeside, was scheduled to start on
the outside front row with Anderson. But mechanical problems with the drive
train forced Phillips to the infield just before the green flag was waved to
start the 50-lap affair.

"I'm so happy to grab a WDRL win," Anderson said with a smile. "It's been a
while. In the dash, we figured the track would be about the same, so we made
a few adjustments (on the car). The Shop Quickie Convenience Stores
MasterSbilt no. 2 was fast.

"During the feature, I just tried to save tires," remembered Anderson. "I
was a little worried about all the yellow flags at the end, but the tires
stayed with me each time we restarted.

"We ripped off five second-place finishes in a row, including last night,"
Anderson said. "But this win will help everyone keep digging."

Next up for the WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome Late Model Series will be
the season finale at the Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on Friday and Saturday,
Oct. 5 and 6.

O'Reilly MLRA 2007 Season Closes with a Bang

Buckner, MO (September 25, 2007) - The 2007 O'Reilly MLRA season will close
out with a bang this coming weekend with three races in three nights to
crown the champ.

Action kicks off Thursday, September 27, at the bullring Adrian Speedway, in
Adrian, MO with the annual Al Bodenhamer Memorial. This will be fourth time
in five years that the event has drawn some of the best late model racers in
the Midwest to the tight confines of Glen and Colleen Portzen's racy
facility. Current O'Reilly MLRA point leader Alan Vaughn picked up the win
in 2003 while second place in points David Turner grabbed the victory in
2004. These two drivers cut their teeth at Adrian Speedway and both will be
on the wheel looking to bring home a win at their home track. Springfield,
MO's Terry Phillips notched the win in 2006 after rain washed out the event
in 2005. Fans will also want to be on hand for the Night of Stars Charity
Races put on by Glen and Colleen Portzen along with Arvis Zimbelman of Chip
Ganassi Racing. See the likes Nascar stars Kenny Wallace, Jeremy Mayfield,
David Stremme and David Reutimann take on crew chiefs Brian Pattie and Jimmy
Elledge in this special event.

Friday night will see the O'Reilly MLRA head to the north a bit for night
one of the Capital Federal Savings & Loan Late Model Showdown and Modified
Shootout at Lakeside Speedway. The Kansas City, KS facility will test both
drivers and equipment as they take to the high banks looking to make their
way to the front and capture the checkered flag. Saturday night will see
action resume for the final night of action at Lakeside Speedway as well as
the crowning of the 2007 O'Reilly MLRA champion. Previous winner's of the
Lakeside Speedway events have included such great racers as Terry Phillips,
Kelly Boen, Steve Kosiski, Kyle Berck, Denny Eckrich, Brady Smith, and Chad
Lyle.

Denny Woodworth picks up first O'Reilly MLRA Win

Buckner, MO (September 9, 2007) - The O'Reilly MLRA made the trip to Lucas
Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO and when the dust had settled Mendon, IL
resident Denny Woodworth picked up his first career O'Reilly MLRA victory.

Woodworth started outside of row one, but had to settle into the second
position on the start as Alan Vaughn powered his way out front at the drop
of the green flag. Not one to settle for second Woodworth put the pressure
on Vaughn and worked his way into the top spot on lap 2 only to have the
move negated by the yellow flag for a disabled machine on the front stretch.
On the restart Woodworth kept the pressure on Vaughn while he had to hold
off the strong charge of Brandon McCormick and Mark Voigt who were right on
his tail. The field came to a stop on lap 7 as the cars of Sonny Findling
and Larry Jones came together in turn 2. The Jones machine flipped onto
it's roof suffered major damage while the Findling's mount had sever front
end damage. Both drivers were able to walk away unhurt, but were done for
the evening.

On the restart the front group of Woodworth, Vaughn, McCormick, and Voigt
began to battle once again, but behind them the pair of Gary Stolba and
Jeremy Payne were on the move after having qualified through the B features.
Woodworth mounted another charge on Vaughn and the pair raced side by side
with Woodworth coming out on top to take the lead on the ninth circuit. The
red flag would fly a second time on lap 11 for Brandon McCormick when he
clipped a tire on the inside of the track in turn 2. McCormick's car headed
straight to the wall and made hard impact with the backstretch concrete
ending his night on the hook. The Lebanon, MO driver walked away unhurt,
but his car suffered extensive damage.

These restart saw Woodworth hold onto his lead while Vaughn began to receive
heavy pressure from Voigt and Al Purkey who was working the top side of the
track. During this run Jeremy Payne also continued his march forward as he
moved his way into sixth place as the leaders began to hit lapped traffic on
the 25th circuit. A final caution would fly on lap 27 when Larry D.
Clawson's machine would spin to the inside of the track in turn 3.

The final dash to the finish would see Woodworth hold onto the top spot with
Vaughn and Voigt coming under the white flag side by side. Woodworth raced
under the checkered flag for his first O'Reilly MLRA win while Vaughn came
out on top of his battle with Voigt for the runner up position. Purkey
raced his way to fourth while Jeremy Payne moved from his 18th starting
position to round out the top five at the finish.

Heat race victories went to Al Purkey, Sonny Findling, Alan Vaughn,
Christian Rayburn, and Denny Woodworth while Gary Stolba and Jeremy Payne
picked up the B Feature wins.

In addition to the feature event O'Reilly MLRA sponsor Midwest Walnut paid
out a bonus to drivers competing in the A feature who were previous winner's
of the Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award. Eligible driver's competing were
Jason Bodenhamer, Gary Stolba, Larry Clawson, Larry D. Clawson, and Denny
Woodworth. These drivers received a bonus compared to where they finished
against the other eligible drivers. With the win Woodworth was able to pick
up a $1500 bonus. Bodenhamer received $800, Larry D. Clawson got $700, Gary
Stolba $600 and Larry Clawson $500. These bonuses were paid in addition to
the feature money that each driver received. Additionally, Larry Clawson
came home with his second Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award for 2007 which
saw him pick up and additional $1000 bonus after his 16th place finish in
the feature event.

Next up for the O'Reilly MLRA is a trip back to Lebanon I-44 Speedway in
Lebanon, MO for a two day event on September 21 and 22.

Terry Phillips picks up Lucas Oil Speedway Win

Buckner, MO (August 12, 2007) - Springfield, MO's Terry Phillips rolled into
Lucas Oil Speedway with a new car on Saturday night and left with a new
trophy as he picked up the 40 lap O'Reilly MLRA win at Lucas Oil Speedway in
Wheatland, MO.

The field rolled off for the feature event with Scott Drake on the pole and
quickly grabbing the stop spot as the field went green while Phillips
settled into the runner up position. Looking to improve Phillips went to
the high side of the track on lap 2 and took the top spot from Drake through
turns 1 & 2 and set to distance himself from the field. Pressure would come
from local driver Eric Turner as he moved into second and worked the high
side to close the gap on Phillips who had moved to the bottom of the track.
Behind those two Jack Sullivan began to move towards the front as he worked
to third and then passed the Turner machine for second on lap nine. While
Sullivan closed on Phillips the man on the move was Bill Frye who had worked
his way into the top 10 during the first dozen laps after gridding in the
17th position.

Phillips continued to set a blistering pace and opened his lead to twelve
carlengths as he worked through lapped traffic as the halfway point neared.
The field would slow as JD Hubert spun to a stop coming off turn four which
would allow the field a shot a Phillips' top spot. On the restart Phillips
held off the charges as a battled between Sullivan, Turner, and Jeremy Payne
raged on behind him for the second position.

With ten laps to go Phillips found his lead opened back up again while the
trio behind him became a quartet as Alan Vaughn began to make some noise.
The yellow would fly once again on lap 35 as Brandon McCormick would loop
his machine in turn four setting up a five lap shootout to the end. On the
restart Phillips would once again take off, but behind him the battle was
heating up as Vaughn, Payne, Sullivan, Vaught, and Frye all ran side by side
looking to improve their position. As the field came to the checkered flag
Phillips raced across the line holding off Payne to take his second O'Reilly
MLRA win of the season and his 85th career victory with the series. Vaughn
came across third with 15th starting Will Vaught in fourth and Frye taking
the fifth spot with a last corner pass of Sullivan.

Chris Smyser, Brandon McCormick, Scott Drake, and Eric Turner took home the
four heat race victories while Billy Frye grabbed the B Feature win. The
Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award went to Gary Stolba after his 16th place
run in the feature event.

close out with modifieds, late models, and 360 sprint cars in action on the
historic 1/2 mile gunning for the coveted Missouri State Champion title.

"We're really looking forward to Sunday, August 19, to put on a whale of a
show for all of the racing fans in the area," commented competition director
Clint Brown.  "We took a gamble by putting these three classes together in
2006 and the response was great so we've brought back the same program for
2007 with modifieds, the O'Reilly MLRA late models, and O'Reilly WOW Sprint
Cars."

"There has been a big response from driver's not only in Missouri, but in
the surrounding states of Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Illinois.
This was a big show last year and it appears to be getting bigger for this
year," continued Brown.  "The big thing for us was to be able to put this
show together and still keep it affordable for the fans which we've been
able to do."

In modified action Justin Boney will be gunning to take the title back to
Kansas for the third straight year.  Over the last two years Boney has
traveled in from Leavenworth, KS to take the top spot by beating out 64 cars
in 2005 and 65 cars in 2006.  For Boney to grab that third straight title he
will have to work through another big field of modifieds traveling around
the historic 1/2 mile.  Some of the areas top modifieds look to be in
competition looking to put a stop to Boney's three-peat attempt including
Howard Hall, Curt and Steve Potter, Dave Meyer, Jason Thompson, Terry
Schultz, Chad Lyle and many others.

Terry Phillips kept the O'Reilly MLRA win in the state of Missouri as the
Springfield resident held on for the big win in 2006.  Phillips and Al
Purkey put on a hard fought battle for most of the feature event until
mechanical issues forced Purkey pitside to watch the conclusion of the
event.  For Phillips to pull off the win in 2007 he'll have to hold off the
charge of Purkey along with a whole host of others including Alan Vaughn,
David Turner, Gary Stolba, John Anderson, Jeremy Payne, Chris Smyser along
with visitors to the O'Reilly MLRA tour.

No to be outdone by Justin Boney in the modifieds, Brian Brown is another
driver that will be battling for his third Missouri State Fair Championship
in a row with the O'Reilly WOW 360 Sprint Cars.  Coming out of Grain Valley,
MO Brown had to hold off several charges during 2006, but when the checkered
flag fell he was able to end off the challenges for the win.  Looking to
stop the Brown onslaught will be tough competition in the form of Randy
Martin, Josh Fisher, Gabe Maycock, Jesse Gianetto, Rusty Potter, and the
rest of the O'Reilly WOW contingent.

Action gets underway on Sunday, August 19, with grandstand gates opening at
5:00 pm and hot laps taking to the track at 6:30 pm and heat race action set
to roll onto the historic 1/2 mile at 7:00 pm.  Adult admission for the
evening is only $15.00 while seniors and military are $12.00.  Children 7-12
are $10.00 while those 6 and under are free.  Ticket prices do not include
admission to the fair.  Admission to the fair is not charged after 6:00 pm
so fans can wait until after then to enter and save.

Pit gates will swing open at 3:00 pm with pit passes set at $25.00 per
person.  For modifieds and O'Reilly WOW competitors there is no entry fee.
The standard $100.00 entry fee applies to O'Reilly MLRA competitors which is
paid directly to the O'Reilly MLRA.  All lineups will be done by pill draw
with modifieds and O'Reilly WOW drivers drawing at the pit gate while
O'Reilly MLRA drivers will draw at the O'Reilly MLRA trailer.  No fair
admission is charged to enter the pits, but those wanting to cross and enter
the fair must pay standard fair admission.

State Fair Speedway is located on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia,
MO directly on Highway 65.  For more information about the Missouri State
Fair Championships visit www.fair.826race.com or call 660-221-0275.

Action Packed Holiday run for the O'Reilly MLRA

Buckner, MO (June 29, 2007) - Following a short break the O'Reilly MLRA
returns to action for the Fourth of July holiday with two big events
scheduled in Missouri at Lebanon Midway Speedway on Monday, July 2, and 24
Raceway on Tuesday, July 3.

Action gets underway Monday, July 2, with the second visit to Lebanon Midway
Speedway of the 2007 Thunder Tour.  The first visit, scheduled for June 1,
was halted early in the evening due to rain and the competitors of the
O'Reilly MLRA are eager to get back to the Lebanon, MO facility known for
it's side by side action.  The event, billed as the 1st Annual Larry
Phillips Shootout Birthday Bash, will see the winner take home a cool $7,500
at the end of the 75 lap feature event.  The increased payout is expected to
draw some of the top late model drivers in the area such as Al Purkey, Alan
Vaughn, John Anderson, Gary Stolba, and Jeremy Payne.  Springfield, MO's
Terry Phillips will also be competing as he looks to honor his fathers
memory by picking up the big check at the end of the night.  The Lebanon
Midway Speedway Modifieds and Bombers will also be competing during the
evening.  Gates open at 4:30 pm with hot laps set to get underway at 6:50
and racing action rolling off at 8:00 pm.  Grandstand admission for adults
is $25.00 with kids 11-15 $5.00 while those 10 and under are free.  Pit
passes on the night will be $30.00 per person.

The next night, July 3, the O'Reilly MLRA travelers will head north to 24
Raceway in Moberly, MO.  The event will mark the first event for the series
at the facility since the 2000 season where Leslie Essary picked up the win.
Modifieds and Hornets will also be competing on the 1/2 mile in central
Missouri.  In addition to the racing activities the track will also be
having a fireworks display following the races.  Gates open at 5:00 pm with
hot laps starting at 6:45 and racing rolling out at 7:30 pm.  Adult

several discussions with the track we had to remove the race from the 2007

Vaughn grabs Valley Speedway Loot

Buckner, MO (June 10, 2007) - Belton, MO's Alan Vaughn raced to the front of
the field and never looked back as he picked up the O'Reilly MLRA win on
Saturday night at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO.  The win broke a dry
spell for Vaughn that dated back to August of 2005 and also moved his
O'Reilly MLRA win total to 27 - just one win shy of fourth on the all time
wins list.

As the field took the green flag front row starters Jason Bodenhamer and
Vaughn flew into turn one side by side with Vaughn powering off the high
side of the track to take the top spot.  Once out front Vaughn quickly began
to separate himself from the field and had opened an eight car length lead
over the next handful of laps.  A couple of early yellow flags slowed the
pace, but each time Vaughn was able to open up the gap once again and hold
off any challenges.  Even a late race caution was not enough to slow
Vaughn's progress and he raced across the line by nearly a full straight
away holding off a sixth starting Al Purkey for the win after forty laps of
fast and furious action.  Gary Stolba came across the line with a solid
third place run with Chris Smyser and fifteenth starting Kyle Berck rounding
out the top five at the finish.

Vaughn made a sweep of the action as he joined Chris Smyser, Jason
Bodenhamer, and Eric Turner in topping the heat race action.  The other big
winner of the evening was Larry D. Clawson as he picked up the $1,000 check
for taking home the Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award.

The O'Reilly MLRA will take a short break in the action and return to the
track on June 30 as they travel to the north and Scotland County Speedway in
Memphis, MO.

Brian Birkhofer claims Superchips Diamond Nationals Victory

Buckner, MO (May 13, 2007) - Brian Birkhofer rolled into Lucas Oil Speedway
with one thing on his mind and that was to capture the top spot of the first
annual SuperChips Diamond Nationals and the $25,000 payday that went along
with it.  When the two day event wrapped up Birkhofer and his team had
accomplished their goal and found themselves claiming the winner's check
along with a beautiful diamond ring commemorating the victory.

On the initial start Don O'Neal jumped from outside of the front row to grab
the top spot and quickly opened a six car length advantage over second place
John Anderson.  The field was slowed on the 13th circuit for the spun
machine of Michael England  in turn four.  On the restart Birkhofer moved
into the runner-up spot and began to pressure O'Neal for the top spot
running low on the track.  With seventeen laps in the books the top three of
O'Neal, Birkhofer, and Anderson ran nose to tail.  Anderson made a daring
move on lap 19 to move from third to first coming off the fourth turn and
quickly created a five car length gap back to second running O'Neal.

The laps clicked off and Anderson found himself hitting lapped traffic just
right and opened his lead up to seven car lengths while behind him the
battle raged for fourth with Billy Moyer and Wendell Wallace running side by
side for the fourth spot.  The yellow flew again on lap 29 for the machine
of Chris Simpson as suspension problems sent him to the pits.  On the
restart Anderson opened up his margin again, but behind him Donnie Moran was
the man on the move as he moved into the top ten after starting in the 24
position.

Lap 35 saw the field slow again as the 74 machine of Jeremy Payne slowed in
turn two with smoke coming from the rear of his machine.  On the restart
Steve Shave began to make his presence known as he pulled alongside Moyer
for the fourth position.  Anderson continued to set the pace up front with
Birkhofer moving past O'Neal for second on lap 41 and to set sail for the
top spot.  Birkhofer made the move to the low side of turn two on the 45th
lap to take the top spot from Anderson while Shaver also moved past O'Neal
for the third spot.

Once out front Birkhofer stretched out his lead at the halfway mark with the
yellow flying on lap 58 for Freddie Smith's stopped machine in turn two.
When the green flag waved Birkhofer held onto the top spot, but once in
lapped traffic he began to have problems maneuvering around them and
Anderson was able to pull right on his bumper.  Anderson would try the high
side of the track again with less than ten to go in an attempt to get past
Birkhofer, but couldn't quite pull it off.

The yellow waved for the machine of Justin Rattliff on lap 97 and that would
give Anderson one more chance at Birkhofer, but he just couldn't make the
move stick and Birkhofer held on for the win.  Shaver, O'Neal, and Wendell
Wallace followed Birkhofer and Anderson across the line to complete the top
five.

Sixty cars signed in for the first annual event with Billy Moyer, Don
O'Neal, Dan Schlieper, John Anderson, Steve Shaver, and Brian Birkhofer
claimed the heat wins.  Terry English and Brandon McCormick gabbed spots in
the feature event by virtue of taking the wins in the two B Feature events.

Beatrice Speedway added to O'Reilly MLRA Schedule

Buckner, MO (May 6, 2007) - A new venue has been added to the 2007 O'Reilly
MLRA schedule as the series will make a first ever stop at Beatrice Speedway
in Beatrice, NE on Monday, May 28.

"We couldn't be more excited than to add an additional date to the 2007
O'Reilly MRLA schedule and to be visiting Beatrice Speedway for the first
time," commented Harriett Chancellor.  "With the running of the Alphabet
Soup race at I-80 Speedway the previous night these two shows will
complement each other greatly and area fans will be treated to two high
caliber programs during the same weekend."

Beatrice Speedway promoter Tim Fralin stated “A Late Model Race at Beatrice
Speedway should stir a lot of excitement around here, especially following
up the Soup Race at I-80 which is a great late model show in itself.” Fralin
added “If you look at the caliber of drivers in this region, and include the
drivers that will show up after the Soup Race the potential for an awesome
show is definitely there. The Gage County Ag Society and myself debated this
show and chose to give it a shot. It was our belief that we were ready for
this event and when the Memorial Day gets here hold on to your seats because
it will be an action packed race around the 3/8ths mile track.”

Grandstand admission for the event will be $12.00 for adults, $3.00 for
children 6-11 while those 5 & under are free.  In addition to the O'Reilly
MLRA the weekly factory stocks will also be competing on the night.  Pits
gates open at 3:00 pm with hot laps taking to the track at 4:30 pm and race
to follow at 5:30 pm.

John Anderson Notches third win in a row

Buckner, MO (May 2, 2007) - When it was announced over the winter that the
Shop Quick Racing team had tabbed John Anderson as their driver for the 2007
season the prevailing thought was that this could be one tough team and they
certainly have lived up to that sentiment.  Anderson wheeled the Shop Quick
Racing 2J to the O'Reilly MLRA victory on Saturday night at Lakeside
Speedway for his third victory in a row which also vaulted the Nebraska
driver into 10th place on the O'Reilly MLRA All-Time Wins list.

Anderson started on the pole and quickly established a lead that he would
never relinquish with Jeremy Payne taking up the chase.  The front duo
remained the same through the first 2/3 of the race until Henderson,
Colorado's Kelly Boen slipped past Payne for the second position and began
to reel in Anderson for the top spot.  A scary incident happened on lap 26
as the 07 machine of Boen bicycled up onto two wheels and began a series of
flips that saw the machine come to rest against the outside fence.  Boen's
night was done as he was transferred to a local hospital to be checked out
after the hard hit.  On the restart Denny Woodworth made his presence known
as he moved past Payne into second, but the laps wound down to quickly and
Anderson lead the field under the checkered flag with Woodworth, Payne, 17th
starting Al Purkey, and Terry Phillips completing the top 5.

A total of thirty-eight cars signed in on the evening with Mike Collins,
Corey Zeitner, Anderson, and Woodworth taking the four heat race victories
with Purkey and Kyle Berck nabbing the two B feature wins to advance.

By virtue of his run from 17th to 5th Purkey picked up the Weld Wheels Hard
Charge Award while Berck nabbed the Performance Bodies award for his sixth
place finish.  Jason Bodenhamer took the Taylor Cable Super Sevens Award and
Corey Zeitner raced home with the Racing Optics Clear Vision Award for his
10th place run in the feature event.

Next up for the O'Reilly MLRA is a trip to Lebanon, MO for their first visit
of the season to Lebanon Midway Speedway on Saturday, May 5.

Jack Sullivan wins O'Reilly MLRA / MARS “Spring Thunder”

Wheatland, MO – The O'Reilly MLRA and MARS Series opened the 2007 season at
the “Diamond of the Dirt Tracks”, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on
Sunday April 15th.  49 cars checked into the pits for what would be a long
night of racing.

Spectator gates opened at noon with hot laps set for 1pm.  However, heavy
rains and below normal temperatures in the 48 hours leading up to the race
had taken their toll on the track.  Crews worked as hard as they could to
get the track in the best racing condition possible, which led to long
delays and when all was said and done, Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, AR took
the checkered flag.

Christian Rayburn of Osage Beach, MO led the 24 car field to the green flag.
Rayburn accumulated the most passing points, winning his first ever O'Reilly
MLRA / MARS pole.  Sullivan, starting to the outside of Rayburn, would hit
his setup and rocket into the lead and never look back.  2006 MARS series
champion Bill Frye had some bad luck in his heat race, getting into a 3 car
pile up with Jason Bodenhamer and Dwayne Hottinger.  Frye would use a
provisional and start 22nd on the field, finishing a respectable 9th place.
Other notable runs were made by Joey Mack of Benton, MO starting 12th in the
feature and finishing 3rd ; John Anderson of Omaha, NE starting 20th and
finishing 7th ; David Turner of Adrian, MO started 21st finishing 12th and
Jason Bodenhamer started 24th and finished 14th.

The O'Reilly MLRA will be back in action next Friday April 20th at I-80
Speedway in Greenwood, NE and Saturday April 21st at Winston Speedway in
Winston, MO.  For more information regarding the MLRA series, please go to

Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award Update
Eligibility requirements altered for Lucas Oil Speedway Event

Buckner, MO (April 12) - Due to the postponement of the first week of racing
officials with the O'Reilly MLRA and Midwest Walnut have altered the
eligibility requirements for the Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award for the
Lucas Oil Speedway event set to be contested on Saturday, April 14.

Original requirements stated that a competitor must compete in two O'Reilly
MLRA 2007 events prior to becoming eligible for the award.  With the
postponement of the Lakeside Speedway and I-80 Speedway events, which would
have served as the two events, competitors will have had to have competed in
a minimum of two events during the 2006 season.  This alteration will only
affect the Lucas Oil Speedway event.  That event along with the rescheduled
I-80 Speedway event will then count towards the minimum of two for the
remainder to become eligible for the Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award which
will next be contested at Winston Speedway on Saturday, April 21.

"The folks at Midwest Walnut were very excited about having the first event
at Lucas Oil Speedway and had made plans to attend so they could be there
for the first race of the Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award so we decided to
make this slight alteration to the requirements," stated Harriett
Chancellor.  "We worked to find the best alternative that we could and we
feel that this is the most fair for all of the O'Reilly MLRA competitors
that are coming to Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend."

The Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award will see one lucky competitor receive a
$1000 bonus at select events during the 2007 O'Reilly MLRA racing season.
The award will go to a driver that finishes between 11th and 22nd position
determined by a blind draw just prior to the feature event.  The money
awarded is in addition to any money won for running in the feature event.
In addition to competing in a minimum of two events competitors must also be
a member of the O'Reilly MLRA and display the Midwest Walnut decal on their
car during the event which is available at the O'Reilly MLRA trailer.

Midwest Walnut began as a small processing plant in Council Bluffs, IA is
1931 supplying everything from logs to furniture throughout the Midwest. The
continued growth of the company brought the need for a new plant which began
construction in Willow Springs, MO in 1942. For over 70 years Midwest Walnut
has continued to see their business grow from a small Midwest company into a
global exporter of hardwoods which continues to increase annually. For more

Buckner, MO (April 11) - The O'Reilly MLRA is pleased to announce another
new sponsor for the series in 2007 with the addition of Racing Optics of San
Clemente, CA.

"Racing Optics has some of the best tear offs available today and we
couldn't be happier than to add a company like them to our growing list of
sponsors for 2007," commented O'Reilly MLRA promoter Harriett Chancellor.
"With the addition of Racing Optics the O'Reilly MLRA will also be forming
the Racing Optics Clear Vision Award which will be contested at each event
during the 2007 season."

The Racing Optics Clear Vision Award will be given to the competitor that
finishes that A Feature in the 10th position where they will be awarded a
complete sleeve of high quality tear-offs from Racing Optics.  To be
eligible for the award a competitor must display the Racing Optics decal on

O'Reilly MLRA prepares to kick off 19th Season
Lucas Oil Speedway to play host to season opener

April 10 (Buckner, MO) - The time has come that fans, drivers, and crews
have looked for all winter as the O'Reilly MLRA rolls into Lucas Oil
Speedway on Saturday, April 14, to kick off the 19th season of the super
late model series.

"With the weather last weekend causing us to postpone our opener it worked
out great that we would be able to kick off year 19 at the "Diamond of the
Dirt Tracks" Lucas Oil Speedway," stated O'Reilly MLRA promoter Harriett
Chancellor.  "The facility is one of the best in the country and the fans
are always treated to some of the best racing in the Midwest.  In 2006 the
O'Reilly MLRA was able to kick off the racing action for Lucas Oil Speedway
and now we're back together again to kick off the 2007 season for both of
us.  It's going to be an exciting night all the way around."

In 2006 racing action returned to Lucas Oil Speedway after a complete
overhaul that saw the facility become one of the premiere racing venues in
the country.  Justin Wells kicked it into high gear and took the narrow
victory for his first O'Reilly MLRA triumph in the initial visit by the
series to the facility.  Terry Phillips and teammate Jeremy Payne also
notched victories during 2006 visits and look to add their names to the win
list again in 2007.  All three will be looking to hold off the tough
contingent of drivers making the trip to the southwest Missouri speed plant
including five time O'Reilly MLRA Champion Al Purkey, four time champion
Alan Vaughn, David Turner, Jason Bodenhamer, Scott Drake, Chris Smyser, and
a whole host of local competitors looking to make their way to the front of
the pack.  In addition to the O'Reilly MLRA and local drivers the race will
also see the likes of Bill Frye, Jeff Taylor, Jeff Floyd and the rest of the
Mid American Racing Series (MARS) drivers looking to claim the top prize as
the event is co-sanctioned with the Arkansas based series.

This event will also be a Midwest Walnut Lucky Stars Award event that will
award an extra $1,000 to one lucky driver in the A Feature.  The award
winner will be determined by a draw, prior to the feature event, with
positions 11-24 being eligible.  To be eligible for the award driver's must
be an O'Reilly MLRA member and display the Midwest Walnut decal on their
machine.  Due to the opening weekend being cancelled, driver's must also
have competed in at least two O'Reilly MLRA events during the 2006 to be

CHILLY FORECAST FORCES RESCHEDULING OF NORTH SOUTH SHOOTOUT

For more information contact:
Danielle Jensen, Media Director
(402) 342-3453

Greenwood, Nebraska (April 4, 2007)- Below freezing temperatures forecasted for this coming Saturday, April 7 have forced the owners and management of I-80 Speedway to reschedule the North South Shootout featuring the Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) to Friday, April 20.

Temperatures predicted for this weekend are expected to be in the low 20’s, and out of respect for the drivers, crews and fans who would have had to sit through the freezing temperatures, the owners and management felt it was best to cancel early.

“We didn’t want the drivers to have to risk damage to their engines, and we didn’t want the fans to have to sit through freezing temperatures while trying to enjoy a top notch show,” said Mike Merrill, track owner.  “By rescheduling the race now, we are able to give enough notice to those who were planning on making the trip.”

The Friday, April 20 date was selected because it did not conflict with the World Dirt Racing League (WDRL), National Championship Racing Association (NCRA), and the Topless Outlaw Racing Association (TORA). It also works well with the MLRA schedule as they will be heading to Winston, MO on Saturday, April 21st.

Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City also canceled their MLRA North South Shootout show that was scheduled for Friday, April 6 due to the forecasted temperatures, and has rescheduled it for Saturday April 28.   With I-80 Speedway and Lakeside Speedway working with the MLRA, drivers and race fans will still be able to enjoy the 2007 North South Shootout.

The rescheduled race on April 20 at I-80 Speedway will also feature the Modifieds and Hobby stocks as supporting divisions. This is not a sanctioned event so the Modifieds and Hobby Stocks will not need a license to participate. The purse for this race will be the same as it would have been on April 7. Pit gates will open at 4:00 p.m., grandstand at 5:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7:00 p.m. Drivers will need to check in by 5:45 p.m., with the driver’s meeting to immediately follow.  Grandstand admission is $15, with kids 10 and under free. Pit passes will be $30.
I-80 Speedway is located off I-80 at exit 420 between Omaha and Lincoln and is part of the Nebraska Raceway Park complex, which also includes the Little Sunset Speedway go-kart track and Soaring Edge Motocross Park. I-80 Speedway is home to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) on Saturday and Sunday nights; the ONLY track in the United States to hold two nights of NASCAR-sanctioned weekly racing. The Speedway hosts events from April through September. For track information contact the Omaha general office during normal business hours Monday thru Friday, 9am-5pm at 402-342-3453 or the track phone on race days at 402-944-2233. O'Reilly MLRA adopts use of Raceivers for 2007
Clint Brown
March 30, 2007

Citing the ability to streamline events officials with the O'Reilly MLRA
have announced that for the 2007 racing season the use of Raceiver receiver
will be mandatory for all competitors at every event.

"We've been looking at utilizing the Raceivers for a while and decided the
time had come to implement their use at all O'Reilly MLRA events this year,"
commented Harriett Chancellor, O'Reilly MLRA promoter.  "Through the use of
the Raceivers we will be able to transmit information directly to the
drivers which we believe will allow us to speed up several things throughout
the event."

The use of the Raceivers will begin with the opening of the 2007 O'Reilly
MLRA season on April 6 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS.  The
Raceivers will be available at the O'Reilly MLRA trailer and drivers have
the option to either purchase the equipment or rent for the event.

O'Reilly MLRA heads into 2007 rolling "Super Sevens"
Taylor Cable signs on to sponsor the Super Sevens Award

Buckner, MO (March 17, 2007) - The 2007 season is quickly approaching and
officials with the O'Reilly MLRA have finalized another sponsorship
agreement for the season with Taylor Cable Products to be the sponsor of the
Super Seven Award.

"We are overjoyed to be able to add Taylor Cable Products to the O'Reilly
MLRA family of sponsors for 2007," commented promoter and owner Harriett
Chancellor.  "We really feel that the addition of such a great company will
strengthen the O'Reilly MLRA even more as we set to kick off the 19th year
of the series."

The Taylor Cable Products Super Seven Award will be contested at each O'Reilly
MLRA event in 2007 and award the driver finishing in the 7th position with a
set of plug wires from the company.  In order to be eligible drivers must be
a member or the O'Reilly MLRA and display both the O'Reilly MLRA and Taylor
Cable Products decals on their race cars.  In the event that the 7th place
finisher is not eligible the award will then move to the next position.  The
award can also be claimed only once throughout the season by each driver,
thereby ensuring that the award will be spread around through many different
O'Reilly MLRA competitors.

"It's really great to see a company like Taylor Cable Products to step in
and help out the drivers like this," continued Chancellor.  "A race winner
gets all of the accolades that go along with winning, but you've still got a
whole host of other drivers to try and help out and this is another step in
that direction."

Taylor Cable Products is a manufacturer of high quality OEM and Performance

quality High Performance Ignition, Electrical Components and Accessories.

2007 Missouri State Fair Race

Officials with Missouri's State Fair Speedway and the Missouri State Fair recently finalized plans to once again close out the 2007 Missouri State Fair with racing action on Sunday, August 19.  The lineup for 2007 will see the modifieds, O'Reilly MLRA Late Models, and O'Reilly 360 Sprints taking to the Historic 1/2 Mile for bragging rights and the Missouri State Fair crown.

"2006 saw one of the biggest crowds that we've ever had for the fair races and we want to continue on that in 2007," commented race promoter Clint Brown.  "We wanted to put together something special again this year what better way to do that than with the three premiere classes in the area.  On top of that we've been able to keep it affordable for the fans to come out by keeping all of the ticket prices the same as they were in 2006."

Action in 2006 saw Justin Boney and Brian Brown take two in a row as modified and O'Reilly WOW winners with Terry Phillips taking O'Reilly MLRA honors.

Full details of the Missouri State Fair races will be finalized in the near future with admission times, rules, and purses will be available at www.fair.826race.com in the near future.
